Girls Day at the Covered Bridge Festival! ⛅🍂

A small ICILA group enjoyed a wonderful girls’ day at the Covered Bridge Festival! They spent the day shopping, exploring, enjoying some great food, and of course, everyone found something to bring home! It was a perfect fall day that we just had to share with you. 💙🛍 🍁

Riley and Macci journeyed to Champaign yesterday to the WCIA 3 News station to share all about the upcoming CSS Art Auction & Community Celebration! Intermittent CILA spent a few days adventuring in the Windy City! They visited the Griffin Museum of Science and Industry, took in incredible views from the Skydeck at Willis Tower, and headed to Cloud Gate, a.k.a. The Bean, for some Chicago sightseeing and plenty of photos. 📸

One of the best parts of the trip was a new experience: A subway ride! 🚇 Everyone got to experience navigating the city, trying new things, and enjoying what Chicago has to offer.

And of course, they couldn’t explore Chicago without tasting some good food! Some of their favorites were lunch at Fry the Coop, followed by dessert from Melt n Dip 🍗🍫🍦.

Trips like this give the guys opportunities to try new things, build independence, and have fun together—putting CSS’ “Live, Learn, Work and Play” into action! 💙🏙️✨

You may remember seeing Rory celebrate his first 90 days at Mattoon Walmart earlier this year. From day one, he dove right in, taking pride in his work and always giving his best effort.

And now, his hard work and commitment to safety have earned him some well-deserved recognition! Walmart Mattoon recently presented Rory with the Safety Associate of the Month Award! 🎉

🌿 A Beautiful Day at Allerton Park! 🌸

A small ICILA crew recently spent a day exploring Allerton Park & Retreat Center in Monticello! They enjoyed walking the paths, taking in all the beautiful statues, ponds, flowers, and scenery along the way.

One of the best parts was watching everyone explore together and point out things they thought their friends would enjoy. There was plenty of conversation, laughter, and curiosity throughout the day!

The weather couldn’t have been more perfect for a day spent outside, enjoying nature, making memories, and doing what Intermittent CILA does best – living, learning, working, and playing! ☀️💙

Judah and Josh enjoyed a little frolic this weekend… a Harvest Frolic, that is! 🍂

The guys headed to Lincoln Log Cabin State Historic Site in Lerna on Sunday for its annual Harvest Frolic. They explored demonstrations by artisans sharing crafts such as blacksmithing, embroidery, and food preservation, to name a few, all while learning a little more about Illinois history.

It’s always fun to get out, explore, and learn something new!
