The trees are my family and the animals are my friends! I find solitude in the breeze and peace in the song of the bird songs. I try to stay connected with nature but live in a busy, modern hustle. I created The Wynter Rose to help myself and others reconnect with a more natural lifestyle. I feel by handcrafting items out of material that has been used for generations I can remind myself, and peop

le around me, that mass produced products are not always the healthiest option. I am all about supporting nature and try to utilize that mindset in my production standards. By using glass bottles over plastic and minimizing waste in my studio and shipping supplies I know that I am helping the earth stay a bit healthier which, in turn, means I will be a bit healthier everyday! I try to look past the commercials and the "easy to get" options and look deep into the contain of the products I use. I try to bring this opinion to my customers so I am able to support their choice to live in a more "clean" environment. I hope you enjoy what The Winter Rose offers! I spent the evening sitting on the deck processing my first batch of dried herbs, flowers, and "weeds". It was a moment that I didn't realize I needed. The calm yard lightly chirping with insects and birds, the fading sun just past the trees, the amazingly different smells of each and every plant.... As I was preparing my work space, I was thinking this was going to be just another task checked of the list but ahhhh I feel like I haven't relaxed like that In a long time. This task was more than just finishing up more "work" that needed to be done, it was a tiny renewal for my soul.

Slowly starting to selling out of items in the Bug Not Collection... It is a bitter sweet moment, this time of year, my mind and body are SO ready for a slower pace before holiday madness hits but in the same respect my mind and body have adjusted to the faster pace of summer.

Selling out also means that summer is coming to a close. I mean I haven't even been to the beach once this season! I know, crazy right?!

Well I guess all in all I am here to say that if you are looking to stock up on some natural bug repellant, bite salve, or some other buggie product you better do it quick. I am not planning on crafting any more batches this year.
