TRAVERSE CITY REPAIR CAFE 🔧🔧🔧

Just in time for spring cleaning, our first repair cafe of the year is Saturday, May 16, from 10 am-2 pm at TADL Main Branch!

The Repair Cafe is a place FIX YOUR BROKEN ITEMS, clothing, bicycles, small appliances, furniture, and more, WITH HELP FROM YOUR NEIGHBORS for FREE.

You bring your broken items, and we pair you with a sweet repair volunteer based on your needs. Work as a team to troubleshoot and fix your item, hopefully learning some helpful tips along the way.

All of the tools needed for basic repairs will be provided, but if you have a specialty tool or piece needed for your repair, please bring it!

WHAT CAN I BRING FOR REPAIR? Small to medium sized items that could be repaired using basic hand tools like: bikes, clothing, wooden objects, wicker, ceramics, furniture, small household appliances (blenders, alarm clocks, vacuums etc.), toys, lamps, and knitwear. New this year, we’ll have a few volunteers who specialize in small engine repair and knife sharpening so gather your lawn and kitchen tools!

Please no electronics like phones, computers, tablets or TVs or oversized items that cannot be easily carried by a team of two.
