Meet Dr. Nusbaum:
Dr. Nusbaum is a Michigan native and excited to return back to her home state as a recently graduated dermatologist and Fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology. She practices medical dermatology with extensive training of complex skin diseases including but limited to atopic dermatitis, psoriasis, acne, and hidradenitis suppurativa, and she loves to take time to solve difficult cases. She received additional training in pediatrics and is comfortable managing dermatologic conditions for all ages.
After graduating high school in Sturgis, Michigan, Dr. Nusbaum attended Tufts University where she graduated summa cm maude with a bachelor’s degree in biopsychology and received the departmental award as one of the top students in psychology. She attended the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine where she received awards for high clinical and academic performance as well as best original research, graduating with a ranking of the number one student in her medical school class. She was also inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honors Society.
Dr. Nusbaum completed her internal medicine internship and dermatology residency and Ohio State University. During residency, she was active in research, publishing over 25 articles in top-tier medical journals and writing multiple book chapters. She brings clinical trial experience as a coordinator for several trials with emerging medications in dermatology. For the first time in program history, Dr. Nusbaum and her team of co-residents won the prestigious, nationwide dermoscopy competition which involved diagnosing dozens of skin lesions. At graduation, she was awarded as the resident with the highest quality of published research.
