Dr. Leithauser here- I can’t believe almost the whole month of May has gotten away from me without a post for SKIN CANCER AWARENESS MONTH!

As we all gear up for an amazing summer after what felt like the longest winter ever, remember to keep skin health as a priority!

A few tips to get through the summer season safely-

☀️apply broad spectrum sunscreen with SPF 30 or higher to all sun exposed areas. Re-apply every 2 hours- sooner if swimming or sweating

☀️wear sun protective clothing

☀️minimize direct sun exposure during the midday hours when UV rays are the most intense

☀️schedule an annual skin cancer screening with your dermatologist!
