4.5 million FEWER people were receiving SNAP in April 2026 than in July 2025. This includes more than 1 million children across just 19 states with available data.

Still, the program has some huge changes coming this year…

Beginning October 2026, states will assume a larger share of SNAP’s administrative costs. Additional funding changes are scheduled to begin October 2027.

Access to essential benefits often comes down to changing eligibility rules, documentation, & knowing what comes next.

At Advomas, our work centers on helping real people navigate complex healthcare eligibility systems, and provide one-on-one support throughout the way.

Supporting health plan members starts with strong partnerships.

The 41st Annual Michigan Association of Health Plans Conference has brought together health plan leaders from across Michigan to share ideas, strengthen partnerships, and explore new ways to better serve members.

As healthcare eligibility requirements continue to evolve, health plans need experienced partners who can help members navigate an increasingly complex system.

At Advomas, we partner with health plans to provide personalized eligibility and advocacy services, supporting members through Medicare and Medicaid enrollment, Social Security benefits and appeals, and one-on-one guidance every step of the way.

By simplifying complex eligibility processes, we help health plans reduce administrative burden while making it easier for eligible members to access the coverage and benefits they’ve earned.

We’re proud to be part of this year’s MAHP Conference and the conversations helping strengthen Michigan’s healthcare community!

Supporting Health Plan Members with ESRD—Every Step of the Way.

As the Michigan Association of Health Plans
Conference kicks off this week, we’re proud to highlight one of the specialized services that sets Advomas apart.

For health plan members receiving dialysis, navigating Medicare eligibility and Social Security benefits can be overwhelming. That’s where Advomas comes in.

Working alongside health plans, our experienced team helps eligible members:
✔️Navigate the Medicare application process
✔️Appeal incorrect benefit denials when appropriate
✔️Maximize the benefits they may qualify for
✔️Receive personalized support from start to finish

Best of all, these services are provided at no cost to eligible members through participating health plans. Our goal is simple: helping people access the healthcare coverage and financial benefits they’ve earned.

If you’re attending the MAHP Conference this week, we’d love to connect and discuss how Advomas helps health plans deliver better outcomes for their members.

📢 CMS Releases New Medicaid Community Engagement Guidance

On June 1, CMS released its Interim Final Rule outlining how states will implement new Medicaid community engagement requirements for certain adults. The guidance provides additional details on eligibility verification, exemptions, reporting requirements, and state implementation timelines, with states generally required to implement these changes by January 1, 2027. (Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services)

What does this mean for hospitals and healthcare providers?

🔹 Increased eligibility and enrollment complexity
🔹More frequent verification and reporting requirements
🔹 Greater need for patient outreach and education
🔹 Higher risk of coverage disruptions for eligible patients
🔹 Additional operational demands on provider organizations

At Advomas, we've spent decades helping hospitals navigate Medicaid eligibility changes and protect patient access to coverage. As these new requirements take shape, our team is prepared to help clients:

âś… Identify patients who may qualify for exemptions
âś… Support eligibility and enrollment processes
âś… Reduce avoidable coverage loss and patient churn
âś… Improve reimbursement opportunities
âś… Navigate evolving state and federal Medicaid requirements

Healthcare policy may change, but our commitment remains the same: helping patients access coverage and helping providers maximize their resources.

Big News for Michigan Healthcare!📢

Thanks to strong advocacy efforts across the state, the Michigan Legislature has passed a state budget that protects all existing healthcare funding. This is a huge win for hospitals, providers, and patients alike.

âś… Full funding for Medicaid
âś… Restored SNAF funding
âś… Support for rural and OB stabilization
âś… Continued investment in Maternal Levels of Care

At Advomas, we proudly support policies that strengthen patient access and ensure Michigan hospitals can continue providing life-saving care 24/7.

Shoutout to our partners at the Michigan Health & Hospital Association (MHA) for leading the charge!

⛳ Team Advomas hit the green yesterday at the Hurley Foundation Trauma Center’s Fall Golf Classic, all for an incredible cause!

We were proud to sponsor and join our partners at Hurley Medical Center to raise funds for trauma and burn care. This event directly supports Hurley’s nationally recognized Level I Trauma Center and Level II Pediatric Trauma Center- both serving some of Michigan’s most vulnerable communities.

At Advomas, our mission is to ensure every patient has access to healthcare without the fear of financial ruin. Working alongside hospitals like Hurley allows us to advocate for patients, help providers maximize resources, and strengthen community health outcomes.

📍Thank you to everyone who made this impactful day possible. We’re honored to be part of a community that cares, on and off the course. 💚
