Fireman is a special horse—not just in the arena, but outside of it too. He is my best friend. ❤️

The power of prayer is something I will never be able to fully put into words. Not just my prayers, but the prayers of my family, my friends, and every single person who knows Fireman and has taken the time to pray over him. That means more to me than people will ever know.

And being able to work on him with Equiscope every day if I want to is such a blessing from God. I don’t take that for granted.

He loves his job. I can see it in the way he works. The way he walks into the arena and works the pattern, it’s like we never missed a beat. Watching him do what he loves again is something I prayed for when I wasn’t sure I would ever get to see it.

And as far as how long he gets to keep going… that’s in God’s hands.

It’s one thing to get the worst news —that you might never get to run your horse again.

But there is a whole different feeling when, after all the time, money, tears, prayers, work, and everything you’ve poured into that horse, someone tells you that he gets to go down that alleyway one more time.

There really aren’t words for that feeling.

To me, it’s a miracle.

And the only way I know how to describe it is God. 🙏🏻❤️

Fireman may never be the horse he was before, and that’s okay. I don’t need him to be.

I just need him to be happy, healthy, and doing what he loves.

And every time I get to get on his back even if it’s just to go for a nice walk, I will thank God!
