I was never severely obese!! I was simply a woman who spent years putting herself on the shelf while life kept LIFEING..

And eventually, the way I was neglecting myself internally started showing EXTERNALLY.

It wasn’t just about the weight..
It was the habits.
The lack of self-love.
The inconsistency.
The woman I knew I could become but wasn’t showing up for.

My glow up wasn’t about the SCALE or becoming skinny. It was about becoming ME again…only BETTER❤️

I’m in a season of TRANSITION… and baby, it’s PERSONAL. 🌹

Becoming your next best self will require you to leave some things behind.

And sometimes that includes people, places, habits, and even versions of YOU that once felt like home.

It’s not always comfortable. Sometimes it’s lonely. Sometimes it’s scary. And sometimes you question whether you’re making the right decisions.

But I’ve learned that you can be grateful for where you’ve been and STILL be ready for where God is taking you.

I’m not starting over. I’m taking everything I’ve learned and growing into a new chapter.

The blessing of ENTRY sometimes requires the sacrifice of EXIT.

Life is already serious enough, sis! 😂🎤

One thing about me? Being uptight, stuck up, and taking myself TOO seriously has NEVER been my personality!🤷🏽‍♀️

I’m going to laugh loud, sing my heart out, be silly, enjoy good company, and make memories while I’m here!💕

As we get older, our responsibilities may increase, but our youthfulness, joy, and sense of FUN don’t have to disappear!

I know FOR SURE my mother must’ve dropped me and my brother a few times. I just think he tumbled over a few times extra! Lol

My youngest brother was my first child and clearly my last. I love him, but I will NOT be renewing my motherhood subscription. One and done! 😂

Welcome back to the BUTTA TRAP SALON! 😂💇🏾‍♀️

Cut the box braids OUT, shaved my head, went blonde, and did it all right in my bathroom! 💅🏾

One thing about me? I love a good maintenance appointment, but I also believe being able to afford your maintenance AND knowing how to maintain yourself is a FLEX!

Ladies, learn a few things:

1. Master a quick 10-minute makeup routine.
2. Learn how to style and maintain your OWN hair when needed.
3. Invest in the skills and tools to take care of YOU.

Because the glow up isn’t always about paying somebody to make you look and feel good.

You don’t have to be a professional at everything. But learning a few skills can save you money, build confidence, and give you options!
