At the request of my friend Robyn, today, I busted this sweet mama out of doggie jail in Gatesville and drove her to her new foster home in Mart. As you can imagine, she was thrilled to be free.

Along the way, we did a little carpool karaoke to 80s pop songs. Honestly, I am not sure if she liked my singing or was trying to quiet me a few times when she climbed up on the console. Nevertheless, I sang, and she hung close.

She was the perfect passenger. And towards the end of our ride, when her babies called for her, she made her way back into the baby pool with them.

When I kissed her goodbye, I told her today is the first day of a wonderful new life for her and her six babies.

It was an honor to volunteer with TGPR.org to help change this sweet mama's life.

ROAD TRIP

Today, I had the privilege to take these sweet fur babies to their new fosters in San Marco and Buda. They were excellent passengers and I miss them already.

While in town, I did a little exploring and am leaving with a few new treasures.

Yes, it meant the Apothecary was closed today while I played hookey doing volunteer work. But it was just what my soul needed.
