July was so sweet 🥹

And apparently I (Celestial Midwifery || LM, CPM ) forgot to post this recap. I swear I remember posting it, but it is very much not on the grid, so here we are… a whole month late. 🫣

Eight babies, eight completely different birth stories, and so many hours spent sitting beside families as they welcomed their newest little people earthside. Big babies, tiny babies, first babies, babies joining already-growing families, long labors, quick ones, lots of laughing, some tears, and all of the in-between moments that make this work what it is.

Always feeling unbelievably grateful for the families who trusted us with these days and nights, and for the privilege of being invited into such a tender little piece of their lives.

11 babies, 11 completely unique birth stories, and so many hours spent sitting beside families as they welcomed their newest little people earthside. From quiet, intimate births to long labors and everything in between, this month held a little bit of everything we love about this work.

Feeling especially grateful for the families who trusted us, the babies who kept us on our toes, and this beautiful little community we get to be part of.

Génnisi is ever changing, growing, and evolving, and with that comes some exciting changes to our collective that we’ll be announcing over the coming months 😊

For now, as we move into spring and then summer 2027, we’re anticipating less availability than we’ve had in previous seasons. So if you’re dreaming of a Génnisi homebirth, we really encourage you to reach out ASAP rather than waiting until later in pregnancy.

To our repeat families, it means more than we can put into words when you choose to come back to us for another birth. We’ll always do our best to make space for the families who have trusted us before, but with our availability changing, we don’t want you to assume you can wait until you’re further along to reach out.

Whether this is your first Génnisi baby or your third, fourth, or fifth time around with us, if you know you want us there, come find us early.

We’re so excited for this next chapter of Génnisi and incredibly grateful for every family who gets to be part of it. 🤍

We’re putting together a slideshow for upcoming community events and would love to include photos that reflect the beauty of the families we’ve had the honor of serving.

If you have any birth, postpartum, newborn, or midwife photos you’d be comfortable sharing, we’d be so grateful. These images may be used in slideshows at educational events, community gatherings, and birth-related presentations to help families connect with the heart of out-of-hospital birth care.

Photos can be candid, professional, emotional, funny, peaceful — anything that feels meaningful to your experience. Images of your midwives supporting you during labor or postpartum are especially treasured.

By sending photos, you are giving permission for Génnisi Birth Services to use them in event slideshows and presentations. Names and identifying information will never be shared unless specifically requested and approved by you.

ONE MONTH until our 2nd Annual Génnisi Family Cookout ☀️🌿

We shared our save the date a little while back, but now that it’s officially getting close, we wanted to open up RSVPs and start getting a headcount together ✨

One of our favorite things about this community is getting to continue these relationships long after babies are born. Watching families grow, seeing tiny newborns turn into big siblings, reconnecting outside of appointments and birth spaces: it all means so much to us 🥹

Whether you birthed with us recently, years ago, are currently pregnant, or somewhere in between, we would absolutely love to see you there 🤍

We’ll have food, games for the kiddos, good conversation, and time together with the wider Génnisi family.

Happy International Midwives Day!!

This work is deeply individual, but none of us do it alone. Over the years we’ve grown together in different ways, through different seasons, with different relationships to this work and that’s exactly what makes it so strong. Our styles aren’t identical, and they’re not meant to be. They complement each other, challenge each other, and ultimately create a more thoughtful, grounded, and supportive space for the families we serve.

Génnisi has always been more than just a team, it’s a sisterhood. One that shows up, holds steady, and trusts both birth and each other. We’re so grateful to do this work side by side, and to be invited into such powerful moments in your lives. ☺️

Welcome, A P R I L babes ✨

4 in 24 hours (5 in 36 if we’re being real). Just a full on baby apocalypse for a moment there. 6 repeat families, which will forever be the highest honor.+ one story this month that lives a little more quietly, but just as deeply 🤍

This work is never just one thing. It’s the highest highs, the quiet heartbreaks, and everything in between. And still, it is always a privilege.

welcome M A R C H babies!

10 babies welcomed earthside this month, and somehow 5 (almost 6!) of them decided to come in over 9 lbs like it was nothing. just a casual reminder that women are out here growing, carrying, and birthing powerful babies with strength that will never not leave us in awe.

every single one of these births was different, but the common thread was the same: intuition, trust, and bodies that knew exactly what to do. it is such an honor to be invited into these spaces, to witness these stories, and to walk alongside families as they meet their babies for the first time.

Also of note, those birthday babies were born within 2 hours of each other! 🫶🏻

Each birth unfolded in its own rhythm. Long nights, steady hands, deep breaths, and families meeting their babies for the first time. There is nothing routine about this work, and I never stop feeling grateful to witness it.
