Question for today:

Have you ever ignored a gut feeling and later realized it was right?

I’ll go first.

Years ago, I was meeting friends for lunch. As I parked my car, I very clearly heard, “Don’t park here.”

I looked at the clock. It was 12:01.

And I remember thinking, “Well, I’m already a whole minute late.” 🙄

Because apparently being one minute late was a bigger problem than listening to my intuition.

So I ignored it and went inside.

A short time later, the restaurant manager came from table to table asking whose car had been hit.

Mine.

A delivery truck had struck it, and the driver left without ever being held accountable.

Was it intuition? A coincidence? You can decide for yourself.

What I know is that sometimes those quiet nudges don’t make logical sense in the moment. And sometimes we talk ourselves right out of listening.

What’s your story?

💜 It’s Here. 💜

I honestly can’t believe I’m writing these words.

He Called Me Mom: What Remains After the Unthinkable is officially available.

This book began as a way to honor Frankie—to tell the story of a remarkable young man, the impact he had on my life, the heartbreak of losing him, and the signs, lessons, healing, and hope that followed.

It is raw. It is honest. It is heartbreaking at times. But it is also a story about resilience, connection, and the bonds that continue long after someone leaves this world.

For years, people have asked me what happens after we die. They’ve asked about signs from loved ones. They’ve asked what happens when someone takes their own life. This book shares not only my family’s journey through unimaginable loss, but also the understanding, healing, and connection that came afterward.

My hope is that anyone who has loved someone deeply, lost someone they never imagined living without, or wondered whether their loved ones are still near will find comfort within these pages.

Frankie changed my life while he was here. Sharing his story is one of the most meaningful things I’ve ever done.

To everyone who encouraged me, listened to me, supported me, and believed I could do this—thank you. And especially, first and foremost, Fredy, who has always believed in me and supported every dream, idea, and project I’ve ever pursued. I would not be where I am today without your love, encouragement, and unwavering faith in me.

And to Frankie…

You called me Mom. It was one of the greatest honors of my life.

This book is for you. Always. 💜

Eighteen years ago, when we first came to look at this house, this tree was one of the first things I fell in love with.

Not long after we moved in, we were told it was already rotting inside and probably wouldn’t be with us much longer.

Eighteen years later, here it still stands.

Over the years, it has given us shade on hot summer days. It sheltered our koi pond. It became home to generations of squirrels that we watched raise their babies each spring. Birds fly from the feeder to its branches all day long. It has been part of the view from our windows, part of the rhythm of life here, and honestly, part of what made this place feel like home.

A few years ago, one of its massive sections came down during a storm. By some miracle, it landed directly between the pool and the barn, causing only minor damage. It was a warning we couldn’t ignore.

Now the reality is that the tree is mostly hollow inside, and if another section falls, it could destroy part of the property—or worse.

So at the end of this month, we’ll say goodbye.

I know it’s the right decision. I know we’ve been given far more years with this beautiful old maple than anyone expected. But that doesn’t make it easy.

There’s something heartbreaking about losing something that has quietly been part of your life every single day.

In a few weeks, I’ll look out this same window and the view will be different.

I’m grateful for every season it gave us, every squirrel family, every bird, every patch of shade, every autumn color, and every memory created beneath its branches.

Thank you, old friend. 🌳💜

You are loved.

10 Signs You’re Disconnected From Your Intuition

You second-guess every decision.

You ask everyone else what they think before asking yourself.

You know something doesn’t feel right, but you do it anyway.

You constantly look for confirmation outside of yourself.

You replay conversations long after they’re over.

You ignore your body’s signals and push through exhaustion.

You feel stuck between choices that should feel clearer.

You talk yourself out of what you know deep down.

You trust other people’s opinions more than your own.

You keep waiting for a sign when the answer may already be inside you.

The good news?

Your intuition doesn’t disappear.

It gets buried beneath noise, fear, overthinking, responsibilities, and the opinions of others.

And it can be strengthened again.

💜 The June session of The Inner Knowing Project is now closed, but if this list hit home, keep an eye out. A new session will be opening in July.

Sometimes the most important relationship you’ll ever rebuild is the one you have with yourself.

Two of Swords energy for the week ahead:

If you’ve been sitting in the space between two choices, two paths, or two truths, this may be the week where avoiding the decision becomes harder than making it.

The answer may not come from thinking more.
It may come from getting quiet enough to hear what you already know.

Trust yourself. 💜

One of the biggest reasons people struggle to trust themselves has very little to do with intuition and a whole lot to do with what they’ve experienced throughout their lives.

Somewhere along the way, many of us were taught not to trust what we felt.

Maybe you were told you were too sensitive.
Maybe you were told you were overreacting.
Maybe you brought up something that hurt your feelings and were told, “That’s not what happened,” or “You’re taking it the wrong way.”
Maybe you noticed something felt off in a relationship, a friendship, a job, or a family situation, and instead of exploring that feeling, you were encouraged to ignore it, minimize it, or give everyone the benefit of the doubt except yourself.

After a while, you start questioning everything.

You stop asking, “What am I feeling?”

And start asking, “Am I allowed to feel this?”

You stop trusting your instincts.

You stop trusting your observations.

You stop trusting your own experiences.

You learn to explain things away.
To make excuses.
To talk yourself out of what you know.
And then years later, people wonder why they can’t hear their intuition.

The truth is, your intuition is not missing at all.
It’s just buried underneath years of self-doubt, people-pleasing, second-guessing, and being taught that everyone else’s version of reality mattered more than your own.

Rebuilding self-trust isn’t about becoming psychic.
It’s about learning to listen to yourself again.
It’s about honoring the feeling in your stomach when something doesn’t sit right.
It’s about recognizing when you’re exhausted instead of pushing through.
It’s about acknowledging when a boundary is needed instead of convincing yourself you’re fine.
It’s about believing yourself when your heart, body, and mind are all trying to tell you the same thing.

The journey back to yourself often begins with a very simple question:

“What if I’m not wrong about what I’m feeling?”

And sometimes, that’s where everything starts to change.

The Book Is One Step Closer

Today feels like a big milestone.

After years of carrying this story, writing it, rewriting it, sitting with it, walking away from it, and coming back again, the editing process is complete.

The changes were minimal, which gave me a lot of confidence that the story was already exactly what it needed to be.

And now…

My proof copy has officially been ordered.

There’s something surreal about knowing that soon I’ll be holding this book in my hands for the very first time.

This project was born from love, loss, questions, healing, and a desire to help others feel a little less alone in their grief.

Seeing it move from an idea, to a manuscript, to an actual book is a moment I don’t think I’ll ever forget.

Now we wait for the proof copy to arrive. 💜

The book (yep, I’m still keeping the title to myself) is getting closer to becoming real every day.

One thing I’ve noticed on this journey back to myself is that most of us already know more than we think we do.

We know when we’re exhausted.
We know when we’re avoiding something.
We know when a relationship feels off.
We know when our body needs rest.
We know when we’re saying yes when we really want to say no.

The challenge isn’t always receiving the guidance.

The challenge is listening to it.

I’ve spent a lot of time thinking intuition had to be some big, dramatic moment. What I’m realizing is that it often shows up in the smallest everyday choices.

The extra glass of water.
The walk you don’t feel like taking.
The boundary you know you need to set.
The phone call you know you need to make.
The quiet voice saying, “This isn’t working anymore.”

Our inner knowing is speaking all the time.

The question is whether we’re willing to hear it — and trust it enough to act on it.

If you’re feeling called to reconnect with that inner voice, The Inner Knowing Project begins June 8th. 💜🪽
