Today is Library Outreach Day as we celebrate National Library Week. The ISRC Library is all about reaching out to support our patrons.

One of our favorite outreach events is our Summer Reading Incentive. This year's theme is 🪴Plant A Seed - READ! Reading can help kids grow in so many directions. And there's no better time than summer to dig into a good book. Keep an eye out for how your Library Kid can read all summer long with the ISRC Library

It's time to celebrate Library Week📚🎉 This year's theme is Find Your Joy. Our libraries are so much more than places to find books. They are community centers, resource hubs, safe spaces, and places to find belonging. This week is the perfect time to create an ISRC Library Account, if you don't already have one.

New Member Accounts are FREE. When you reserve a book, our Librarian, Mary Kay, will mail your books out to you with return postage. It couldn't be easier. And the ISRC Library has resources that support the behavior of students who are Deaf, Hard of Hearing, Blind or Visually Impaired, that you might not find at other libraries. We also have resources for teachers, education support teams, and families. Check us out this week and find your joy!

This past Friday, we got to celebrate a favorite Illinois Service Resource Center event - the SEED Conference. Held this year at Harper College in Palatine, it was a day of learning and leadership for High Schoolers who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing.
