Hard to believe it’s been three years of supervision, learning, growing, and showing up day after day. And now… I’m finally wrapping up my clinical license (LSCSW) in August and getting ready for my state exam. Wild.

This journey has stretched me in all the best ways — long days, big lessons, and a whole lot of heart. And now I get to take everything I’ve learned into the next chapter: launching my private practice focused on aging, caregiving, grief, and the complicated stuff life hands us.

I’m excited. I’m grateful. And I’m ready.

Here’s to the finish line… and the beginning.

Navigating work while living with Young Onset Parkinson’s can feel overwhelming, but you’re not alone. One helpful tip: communicate early and clearly about what you need. Small adjustments like flexible scheduling, task prioritization, or ergonomic tools can make a big difference. ParkBench is here to support you through every step.

If you are feeling unsettled, even if nothing is really wrong then give yourself this today.

Meditation for Patients and Self‑Care
A Grounding Routine Meditation

Take a slow breath in through your nose.
Let it out gently.

Feel your feet on the floor—solid, steady, connected.
Let that simple contact remind you that you are here, in this moment, safe enough to pause.

Bring your attention to the next small step in front of you.
Not the whole day.
Not the whole story.
Just the next step.

Maybe it’s standing up.
Maybe it’s turning on the shower.
Maybe it’s opening your email.
Whatever it is, let it be enough.

With each breath, repeat quietly to yourself:

“I return to myself.
I return to my routine.
I return to what steadies me.”

Let the rhythm of these small actions become a kind of kindness—
a way of caring for your mind, your body, and your day.

When you’re ready, take one more slow breath.
And step gently into whatever comes next.
