As the 2025 Cars for Charities Rod & Custom Car Show show wraps up we’d love to share this great story about the man behind our first ever car show and it evolving into the amazing event it has become. Need another great reason- 100% of the net proceeds go to support programming for those living with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Cars for Charities Rod & Custom Car Show has been an amazing partner supporting AbilityPoint as well as our friends at Starkey, Inc. each and every year. The event is led and ran completely by volunteers who make all this possible. Their mission is to help us achieve ours.

Thank you to everyone who came out to the 67th annual car show last year. Because of you, we are able to donate $100,000 to our charities. The AbilityPoint and Starkey, Inc. are two great charities that do unbelievable work in our community.

Lastly, we want to reflect and bring some love to a few of the folks who spend the most time with our mini tour crew. These chaperones donate 100s of hours of their time and have SO much love, joy, and passion for any of our participants that they are around. We see a quite a few chaperones but these are the smiling faces we’re sure you’d recognize. 🫶🏻

AbilityPoint was founded on and built by volunteers. Our volunteers are incredible. By our calculations, they've put in well over 2500 hours combined this year. We are so grateful for everything they do, whether that's helping sort through supplies in our bus barn, ground maintenance, traveling with us, hyping a girl up on pageant day, swimming with our YESS kids, serving a meal or so many other things.
Thank you to everyone who has volunteered with us since 1953 and made what we do possible.

Not just in 2024, but our dedicated Case Managers have spent countless hours advocating for, developing, and implementing Person-Centered Support Plans, tirelessly monitoring services, and offering unwavering support. Their commitment ensures that each of our clients not only lives the life they choose but is continuously supported in working towards their preferred lifestyle.

Now for the 2024 mini tours. We ate SO much food, took 132 unique individuals to amazing places and events, went on 33 outings including travel and in town, and traveled roughly 8300 miles! That's like going to Inverness Scotland and Back!
We love being a part of this sea of blue! Here's to next year's adventures.

We can't skip out on YESS Program! We had an incredible summer! 96 kids, 38 group staff and volunteers, 7 group picnics, all group trips to baseball games and Frontier City and so much more!

Another group of people that we simply could not do without are our Staff. Both seasonal and full time staff make all the magic happen. The faces may change year to year but something that never changes is the amount of love, passion and warmth that every staff member has. Facebook wouldn't take all of our photos but take a gander at just a few of the faces that you've seen all over this year. We're so excited to meet our 2025 teams.

Time to look back on another program near and dear to our heart! Camp Ability! She's been through some changes over the years but what never is lacking is the laughter and fun. This year our theme has settled back into the simplicity of "It's Just Camp." 102 campers, 20 staff, 10 meals, 3 morning shows, 1 talent show and countless memories. We can't wait for this year!
