🚰 Is your tap water paying the price for AI? Part 3.

In Morrow County, Oregon, one resident discovered nitrate levels of 52 mg/L in his well. The federal legal limit is 10 mg/L. He had been drinking it for 3 years. A neighbor reported 9 of 14 people on her road had cancer.

This is not hypothetical. This is happening right now.

U.S. data centers consumed 17 billion gallons of water in 2023. The water they discharge carries biocides, corrosion inhibitors, heavy metals, PFAS forever chemicals, and dangerous bacteria including Legionella, Pseudomonas, and antibiotic-resistant organisms directly into aquifers, private wells, and municipal water supplies.

Companies are not required to report PFAS use or discharge. The EPA compliance deadline has been pushed to 2031.
