PT Tip of the Month ~ ~ ERSL at T6
Asymmetry of the thoracic spine is sometimes a contributing factor to rib pain and mal-position. And if you have taken my coursework before you know that rib mal-position will not correct unless you first correct asymmetry in the thoracic spine. The GLP-1 / Chronic Health Dilemma
The last news letter I wrote was about how the obesity and diabetes epidemic (globesity) is actually not the result of being weak-willed, lazy individuals. But rather, it is the direct result of profit-driven modification of our food to make it addictive and hyper-palatable. THIS is the real reason for our terrible chronic health issues that we are facing.

S.I. and I.S. Dysfunction - A case study

I had a patient come to see me a few days ago and he said he was thrown out of Physical Therapy because they could not strengthen his R side hip abductor. No matter what they did, he could not raise his leg to the side when he was lying down. I said OK, let’s see where the problem is to which he responded, “I’ll tell you were the problem is . . . I am too weak in this muscle right here”, as he pointed to the Gluteus Medius on the R.

A Matter of Balance . . . I remember 15 years ago thinking maybe I should try to put my socks on while standing up. Standing to put on my socks was something I always did throughout my life but for some crazy reason, I got away from it and began sitting down. How hard can it be right? So, I tried to stand and put my socks on, and I found out just how hard it was. A cross between pitiful and hilarious would best describe the 10 initial attempts. That’s correct . . . I tried it 10 times and then sat down.
