At Welcome Allied Health, we're excited to offer both Creative Arts Therapy and Music Therapy because we know that not everyone communicates, learns or processes the world in the same way.

These therapies can help people:
· Develop emotional regulation and coping strategies
· Build confidence and self-esteem
· Improve social communication and relationships
· Navigate major life transitions such as starting childcare, school, work or other important life changes
· Explore emotions safely when words are difficult to find
· Create and practise social stories through music, drama and creative expression
· Develop play skills, turn-taking and social interaction
· Strengthen fine motor skills and coordination
· Reduce anxiety and improve overall wellbeing
· Build independence and everyday life skills

Creative Arts Therapy uses creativity, storytelling and drama as therapeutic tools. It provides a safe space to explore emotions, build confidence, rehearse real-life situations, and support people through challenging transitions. You don't need to be "good at arts"—the focus is on the therapeutic process, not the finished product.

Music Therapy is much more than singing songs. Music can be used intentionally to support regulation, emotional wellbeing, communication, social connection and development. Harnessing the whole-brain activation that occurs from engaging in music, music therapy can help to promote neuroplastic changes in the brain to work to support speech, communication, attention and executive function skills.

One of the most powerful aspects of both therapies is that they build capacity. Rather than simply providing support in the moment, they equip people and families with practical skills and strategies they can continue using long after the therapy session ends.

Everyone deserves the opportunity to communicate, connect and thrive in a way that works for them.

To find out whether Creative Arts Therapy or Music Therapy could benefit you or someone you support, contact our Allied Health team today.

Behaviour Support is stronger when it embraces different perspectives.

One of the greatest strengths of Behaviour Support is that it isn't limited to a single profession. Every practitioner brings their own expertise, experiences, and way of understanding people.
At Welcome Disability Service, our Behaviour Support Practitioners come from a diverse range of professional backgrounds, including:

✨ Education Studies
🎵 Music Therapy
🎨 Creative Arts Therapy
🤝 Social Work
🌱 Developmental Education

This diversity allows our team to collaborate, challenge each other's thinking, and view each person through multiple professional lenses. The result is more holistic, creative, and person-centred behaviour support.

Our Behaviour Support Practitioners are also backed by a multidisciplinary allied health team, ensuring participants benefit from shared knowledge and coordinated support across a range of disciplines.

If you're looking for behaviour support that values collaboration, innovation, and seeing the whole person, we'd love to talk with you.

Together, we can build supports that are meaningful, respectful, and tailored to what matters most to you.

Creating Access, Readiness, Employment, and Empowered Resilience

At Welcome Disability Service, we believe employment is about so much more than finding a job. It's about building confidence, developing skills, and creating meaningful pathways towards a career and greater independence.

Our CAREER Framework provides a personalised, evidence-based approach to supporting NDIS participants on their employment journey.

Through the NDIS Finding and Keeping a Job supports, we work alongside participants to:

· Identify employment goals and aspirations
· Complete a comprehensive vocational assessment with an allied health professional
· Develop an individual employment or volunteering plan
· Build practical skills such as job seeking, interview preparation, workplace communication, and confidence
· Work through real-life challenges like transport, training, licences, and balancing work with everyday life
· Connect with employers, volunteer organisations, and education providers to create genuine opportunities

Our multidisciplinary team, including Developmental Educators, Social Workers, Occupational Therapists, Speech Pathologists, and Employment Mentors, works together to ensure every participant receives tailored support based on their strengths, interests, and goals.

Whether your goal is volunteering, open employment, supported employment, or further education, the CAREER Framework helps turn aspirations into achievable outcomes.

To learn more about how our CAREER Framework can support your employment journey, contact Welcome Disability Service today 1800 672 586 or [email protected]

Because every career starts with someone believing in your potential.

We are seeking a reliable and enthusiastic Support Worker to join a small team supporting one of our participants. For cultural reasons, this person has a preference of female support workers.

•This is a casual employment opportunity.
•Flexibility and availability for sleepover shifts is essential.

For the right candidate, there may also be opportunities to pick up additional work supporting other participants. If you are someone who thrives on making a difference by supporting people, we’d love to hear from you.
