On Saturday 17 and Sunday 18 October, RAC Arena and the Perth C*D will come alive as Western Australia unites for Telethon’s 59th annual event. The iconic 26-hour live broadcast will air across Channel 7, 7plus and nationally on 7flix, celebrating the generosity, compassion and community spirit that make Telethon so special.

The Aidacare All-Abilities Sports Precinct will present the thrill of inclusive sports with wheelchair basketball and football plus talent buzzer games on the tennis courts outside RAC-Arena.

The Channel 7 Telethon Trust is a charity dedicated to improving the lives of sick, vulnerable and disadvantaged children in Western Australia - Since 1968, Telethon has raised over $770 million!

'The X8 gives me more independence in my fishing and outings. My support worker and I get into some pretty remarkable locations!'

Alvin recently reached out to us and shared how the Extreme X8 has allowed for exciting off-road adventures, and the key to maintaining the chair to keep the explorations coming.
'We venture out onto some muddy and wet mangrove beaches. After each beach venture I give the X8 a complete maintenance overhaul, lay the seat back, clean completely and spray with a salt neutralising and moisture dispersing spray. Been going now for about 5 years and still going strong!'.

At this year's ATSA Expo, we invited student occupational therapists to get hands-on with our power wheelchairs - driving them over our test track, trying out the Magic Mobility range, and asking our team all about what chair to prescribe, why, and for whom.
The students had a chance to experience how it feels to maintain posture, support independence, and conserve energy for clients who fatigue easily when driving.
For the OTs of tomorrow, every chair they spend time in becomes part of their clinical toolkit. We offer hands on experience whenever we can, to both new and experienced occupational therapists, because better-informed OTs mean better outcomes for the people who rely on equipment every day.
Thank you to every student who got involved, asked great questions, and gave the chairs a real workout. We loved having you.
