🇺🇸 What information do you wish parks provided to help you decide whether a trail is right for you?
A trail can be labeled accessible - but that doesn’t necessarily mean it’s accessible for you.
Join American Trails tomorrow, September 3, for Choose Your Own Adventure: Welcoming & Preparing Trail Users with Disabilities, a free webinar exploring how trail managers can provide better information and create more welcoming outdoor experiences for people with disabilities.
The session features Jaime Head and Jenna Udenberg, both wheelchair users with years of experience navigating the outdoors. They’ll share perspectives on what trail users need to know before deciding what’s accessible and doable for them.
Magic Mobility is proud to sponsor this conversation.

This week, the Magic Mobility team delivered a hands-on training session to occupational therapists at Epworth Rehabilitation.

OTs got behind the wheel to test drive our chairs, while Magic Mobility Sales Manager & Rehab Engineer Scott walked through the assessment process.
A powered wheelchair should ideally reflect its user's lifestyle choices and social circumstances, maximising their capacity for everyday independence, participation and meaningful occupation.
To achieve this, each prescription requires assessment of what components of powerchair technology are required to enable reasonable functional capacity and environmental access, support the user's wellbeing by minimising health and safety risks, and avoid the need for costly personal support.
Sessions like these help clinical teams get familiar with our range and feel confident recommending the right chair for their clients.

"It gives me freedom and independence."
That's how Carolyn describes life with her Magic 360.
Carolyn recently took her Magic 360 on the road, sailing over on the Spirit of Tasmania to explore its trails and take in the great outdoors.
"It's smooth and easy, and I don't scratch the walls," she says. "It's easy, it's fabulous."
But for Carolyn, it's more than a chair. "It's really home for me. It cuddles my body." From the headrest to the backrest, every detail was built around comfort, including great lumbar support: "My back is just, it's like being in a bed."
"My body can just be, and my hand can just be. That's the peace that I get."
Asked if the Magic 360 was worth it, Carolyn doesn't hesitate:
"It's a no brainer. It's been a life changer."
Thank you, Carolyn, for sharing your story and adventures with us.

As part of our official partnership, Magic Mobility proudly donated two Frontier V6 Compact powerchairs to MND Victoria and the chairs went straight out into the community, helping make a meaningful difference to the lives of people with MND across Victoria.

The Magic Mobility Frontier V6 Compact powered wheelchair is built on our adjustable and robust frame, and with mid-sized castor arms, the user can take on challenging urban environments, kerbs and potholes with ease for improved freedom in and around the streets.

MND Victoria’s equipment service team leader, Amy, says how ‘incredibly grateful [MND Victoria are] to have these two chairs. They really do make a huge impact’.

By uniting our expertise, we are committed to enhancing accessibility and delivering vital mobility solutions that empower those living with MND to maintain their independence and dignity.

‘Until there’s a cure, we will be here providing that care and support to people living with motor neurone disease (MND). It's why our relationship with Magic is so important.’ – Jo Whitehouse, General Manager Support Services, MND Victoria

"Hi, I'm Rod Gray. I'm 48 and I have MS (multiple sclerosis).

I've always been an outdoors person - up the hills, through the forests, along the beaches near my home in Morayshire, Scotland. Over the past ten years, MS has taken a lot from me, including the use of my legs. Losing that felt like losing my freedom altogether.

That was until Richard from All Terrain Wheelchairs (UK) introduced me to the XT4 powered wheelchair from Magic Mobility. What a magical machine!

Richard met me with the X8 I'd originally asked about and brought the XT4 along to compare - his idea. As soon as I drove it in the field, it was sold.

The XT4 goes over almost anything you point it at. The confidence you feel driving it is unbelievable until you try it.

I'll always be grateful to Richard and Magic Mobility for helping me regain my freedom. If you struggle with your legs and want to reclaim yours, I highly recommend All Terrain Wheelchairs and the Magic Mobility XT4. You won't be disappointed."

Thank you, Rodney, for sharing your story with us - and to All Terrain Wheelchairs for providing Rod with a path back to freedom.

If you'd like to share your story and experience with Magic Mobility, reach out via direct message - we'd love to hear from you!

'The chair affords Cooper his independence'.
For Cooper's mum Bron, travel became something for her family to lean into, not hold back from - and with the XT4, it’s opened up even more opportunities for their family.
'We’re not going to hide Cooper away from the world… we’re going to show the world to Cooper.'
The XT4 allows Cooper a place to rest, feel safe, and to take on busy environments like concerts and festival crowds with confidence.
The right powerchair doesn’t just help you get there; it allows you to enjoy every part of the journey!

The team at Magic Mobility are delighted to announce David Daw as a Magic Mobility ambassador!

A licensed medical massage therapist who spent much of his career touring extensively with the WWE, David made a promise to himself to be a hands-on grandpa to his four grandkids. Muscular Dystrophy gradually took that ability away from him, that was until he received his very first Magic Mobility powerchair - a Frontier V6 AT, which helped to fully restore his "Baba" mojo and brought a whole new sense of freedom and adventure back into his life. "Having these Magic Mobility chairs takes me to a whole different level," David says. "I have some of the best chairs in the world."
David is a passionate advocate for the freedom that the right mobility solution can bring to people living with a disability. David is also a Muscular Dystrophy Association ambassador and much of his work is based around connecting MD patients with services and equipment to improve their quality of life. From engaging local officials in a 'ThinkDIFFERENTLY' campaign where he demonstrated first-hand the difficulty of navigating neglected pavements as a powerchair user, to going viral on multiple occasions showing off the truly off-road capabilities of his Magic Mobility chairs, David's story is a powerful reminder of what "go anywhere" mobility really means: not just independence, but the chance to show up and make a real difference in the lives of disabled people. As he puts it, "these chairs become our legs, they enable us to do more than we ever could do."
For David, it all comes back to why he does this. "I'm doing this to get people in better chairs," he says, "so they can get out and do things like this, ride through fields and pretty much do anything."
Welcome aboard, David. We're thrilled to have you as part of our team, and here's to many more adventures!
