Life is shaped by the decisions we’re willing to make, the sacrifices we’re prepared to make and the actions we’re willing to take.
I haven’t been posting as much as usual on socials lately, as I’ve been focusing on upskilling and professional development.
I have an interesting approach to learning.
I’ll enrol in a course with every intention of completing it, leave it untouched for six months, then wake up one morning with an overwhelming determination to finish it.
Once that hyperfocus kicks in, there’s no stopping me.
And that’s exactly what happened.
I completed an entire Certificate IV in just four weeks.
4am starts, weekends dedicated to studying, listening to course audio whenever I had the opportunity and making the most of every spare moment.
It’s not necessarily the most conventional approach, but one thing I’ve learnt about myself is that when I make a decision, I move with urgency.
Once I’m clear on what I want to achieve, I commit fully and take action.
Over the past few weeks, I’ve been investing my time in expanding my knowledge, strengthening my skills and continuing to build on the experience I’ve gained throughout my career.
One thing I’ve always been passionate about is personal growth. Regardless of how much experience we have, there’s always something new to learn, another perspective to consider or another skill to develop.
For me, continued learning isn’t just about gaining qualifications. It’s about becoming more effective in the work I do and the impact I want to create.
And sometimes, that means stepping away from the noise, making sacrifices and prioritising what matters most.
Because ultimately, it’s not just the decisions we make that change our lives. It’s what we’re willing to sacrifice and the action we’re prepared to take to see them through.
Now, onto the next one!
