I just wanted to hop on here and give a little update, but mostly I wanted to take a minute to brag about Alyssa.
Alyssa joined Elsewhere during what we jokingly call “the dark times.” 😂 It was a chaotic period with a lot changing around here, and through all of it, she stuck by our side. She’s watched people come and go, she’s seen Elsewhere change and grow, and through every version of it she has remained an incredible teammate and a huge part of what we’re building.
She has been a phenomenal apprentice, but at this point, simply calling her an apprentice doesn’t really feel fitting anymore.
So we’re very excited to officially announce that Alyssa is moving into the title of Junior Artist at Elsewhere. 🖤
She is still completing her apprenticeship, but this marks her moving into the later portion of it and recognizes just how far she has come as an artist.
One of the things I appreciate most about Alyssa is how badly she genuinely wants to learn. She wants every tattoo to be better than the last. She wants to understand different techniques, different needles, different approaches, and why we do things the way we do them.
If I suggest that a different technique or needle might work better, she listens. Even if she isn’t completely sure about it at first, she’ll try it, trust the experience behind the advice, and within a minute you can see it click. Then she takes that knowledge and carries it straight into the next tattoo.
She’s picked things up and run with them incredibly well, and watching her confidence and ability grow has been awesome.
More importantly, our clients absolutely love her. We constantly hear about how comfortable people felt with Alyssa and how much they enjoyed their experience with her. She’s building her own clientele now, developing her own style and becoming an artist people are specifically asking to book with.
She’s been a team player from day one. She’s reliable, eager to learn, easy to work with and genuinely cares about Elsewhere and the people who walk through our doors.
So here’s to Alyssa, Junior Artist at Elsewhere.
Congratulations on completing this portion of your apprenticeship and earning that next title. You’ve worked for it, you’ve earned it, and we’re all incredibly excited to see where you take it from here.
You’re killing it, Alyssa. We appreciate you more than you know.
