LASER SEASON IS HERE ⚡️
Why does laser hair removal take multiple sessions and why is it important that you start in the Fall?
It all comes down to the hair growth cycle! Your hair doesn’t all grow at the same time — each follicle moves through different stages:
🌱 Anagen (Growth Phase)
This is the stage when the hair is actively growing and is most responsive to laser treatment. The laser targets the pigment in the hair and delivers heat to the follicle.
⏸️ Catagen (Transition Phase)
The hair stops actively growing and begins transitioning into a resting state. At this stage, the follicle is less responsive to treatment.
😴 Telogen (Resting Phase)
The hair is resting before eventually shedding and beginning a new growth cycle. Since the hair isn’t actively growing, it may not be effectively targeted by the laser.
🔄 So why multiple sessions?
Because not every hair is in the growth phase at the same time. Each laser session targets the hairs that are actively growing during that treatment, while other follicles may become treatable during future sessions.
That’s why treatments are spaced out over time — to catch more hairs as they enter the optimal growth stage. With a consistent treatment plan, you can gradually achieve long-lasting hair reduction and smoother-looking skin✨
