I reminisced on the times family would gathering in their tiny living room, harmonicas and spoons playing as we sang, danced and stomped around the house.

Unfortunately, the opportunity never came to celebrate in this way, and I felt the absence of these good times. I dug deeper to understand what I really ached for (aside from the people I lost of course).

I craved the community, filled with absolute joy. All worries melted away, replaced with movements of care-free silliness and fun.

For many years I’ve wanted to create a moment of dance. Stretching back to when my best friend left earth almost a decade ago, is when the thought first crossed my mind. Music and dance was his whole soul. And I absolutely believe he still uses it to communicate.

Perhaps it’s time to answer the call, to create a space where we can hold the light in the darkness that is grief.

To take the songs and music our past loved ones enjoyed and expressed themselves through their groovy dance moves.

To remember the joy.

To Dance with the Divine. 🌌
