Available for private yoga classes, and wellness workshops, including mindfulness and stress management. Fundamental Yoga is about bringing basic yoga to everyone. I create an experience for my students that allows for mindful movement and physical fitness. Classes include a combination of asanas (yoga poses), breath work, meditation, and Yoga Nidra, and are suitable for all levels. I am certified
in Trauma Informed Yoga Therapyโข and bring elements of this training into my classes. TIYTโข promotes improved self-regulation and symptom management for anxiety, trauma/PTSD, depression, addiction issues and more. My classes are primarily taught using a trauma-informed approach to yoga, and I offer private sessions as well. My teaching schedule:

COVID-19 Operation Plan in effect/extra cleaning protocols, mask-to-mat policy, and space is limited to comply with physical distancing (see Operational Plan below). Fundamental Yoga COVID-19 Operational Plan (Beaconsfield Carriage House):
Doors will open 10 minutes before class time. Please use the sanitizer upon arrival, wash hands/sanitize thoroughly after using the bathroom (only one person in each bathroom at a time), and keep 2 meters apart from others. Keep your mask on until you arrive on your mat. There will be no physical assists for poses, and I will primarily remain at the front of class. If I need to observe students for safety/checking-in, I will do so at a distance of at least 2 meters. If there is an injury and physical distancing is not possible in order to provide first aid, I will wear a mask and gloves. I will not be using blocks, bolsters or straps, but if students have yoga props they want to use for class, they may bring them. There will be tape on the floor to mark where mats can be placed. Students can wear masks if they prefer; I will not be wearing one unless directed to do so by Public Health, or in case I need to provide first aid. I will sanitize all door knobs, taps, toilet handles, etc. before and after class, and the floor will be mopped before class as well. No drop-ins are allowed and all students must pay by e-transfer. Waivers will be signed via email. Signage for hand sanitizing and 2-meter physical distancing will be posted. Students are asked not to come to class if they feel unwell. Class will be cancelled if I feel unwell. Do not come to class if you have travelled outside the Atlantic Bubble without self-isolating for 14 days. Dianne Birt, RYT-200, TIYTโข
