Before your mind even processes someone’s words, your nervous system is already reading their field.

That changes everything about how we think about trust, leadership, parenting, and relationships.

Because trust isn’t created by saying the right things.

It’s what people experience when there’s no gap between who you are being and what you’re expressing.

This idea completely changed the way Dawn understands relationships.

And once you see it, you may never think about trust the same way again.

Most people think trust is something you build. 🤝

I think that’s backwards.

You can say all the right things. You can promise, reassure, explain, and try to prove that you’re trustworthy.

But if your words, actions, values, and energy don’t match, people feel the disconnect. 👀

And when they do match?

You don’t have to convince anyone to trust you.

Your life speaks before you do. ✨

That’s coherence. And coherence is experienced as trust.

You’re communicating before you ever say a word.

Your body is already telling the truth.

Your breathing. Your posture. Your pace. Your tone. Your nervous system.

And people are picking up on it.

So what if trust isn’t something you build through the right words?

What if trust is something people feel from your field?

This changes the way we understand relationships, communication, and alignment.

If you missed last week's podcast episode, it’s worth going back to.

You can do everything “right” and still not be trusted.

Because trust isn’t created by saying the right things or proving yourself.

People feel the gap between what you say and how you live.

And when that gap disappears?

That’s coherence. And coherence feels like trust.

But there’s a deeper question:

What is your field communicating beneath your words?

🎧 I unpack this in the full episode, “Trust Is What Your Field Feels Like.”

Leadership isn't about getting people to follow you.

It starts with what you bring into the room.

Every conversation is asking the same question:

Are you bringing presence, curiosity, compassion and trust?

Or fear, control, judgment and urgency?

Because your relationships don't just reveal other people.

They reveal the field you're cultivating.

If you missed last week's podcast, Prayer Isn't Asking. It's Becoming., this conversation goes deeper into conscious participation, leadership, and the energy we bring into every relationship.

Your relationships may be telling you something you don't want to hear.

That difficult person.
That recurring conflict.
That trigger you wish would disappear.

Maybe they're not interruptions to your growth.

Maybe they're revealing it.

We usually ask, “How do I avoid this?”

But a more powerful question might be:

“What's the opportunity here?”

Because the trigger may not be the problem. It may be the message.

Maybe we’ve been praying wrong.

What if prayer isn’t about asking for what you want?

What if it’s about becoming present enough to participate in what’s already happening?

You can imagine the future. You can remember the past.

But you can only encounter spirit now.

Maybe prayer doesn’t begin with words.

Maybe it begins when you stop reacting and start choosing.

Maybe prayer isn't about getting life to give you what you want.

Maybe it's about learning how to move with what's already unfolding.

We spend so much energy asking, pushing, forcing, and trying to control the outcome.

But there may be a completely different way to pray.

Stop pushing the river. Start listening to the current.

This episode explores the shift from asking to participating, from striving to surrender, and why life can feel lighter when we stop fighting what is already moving.

The symptom isn't the problem.

It's the messenger.

Overthinking. People-pleasing. Perfectionism. Overworking.

We usually try to stop the behavior, without ever asking why it became necessary in the first place.

The better question isn't, "What's wrong with me?"

It's "What happened that made this seem necessary?"

That one shift can change everything.

Maybe prayer was never meant to be about asking.

We can say all the "right" words while praying from fear, scarcity, or desperation.

So here's the more uncomfortable question:

Who are you being while you pray?

Dawn explores why prayer may have less to do with what you say and more to do with the field you’re living from.
