Most migraine supplement lists look like this:

Magnesium.
CoQ10.
Riboflavin.
Melatonin.
Feverfew.

I'm exhausted just typing out the whole list. Please don't just go out and buy them all.

It's not that any of those are unreasonable options, It just skips past the first question:

"What's actually driving the migraines?"

Because a targeted plan will almost always outperform a random collection of supplements. Look, supplements can absolutely have a role in migraine prevention. (I recommend them all the time!)

But they work best when they're part of a plan. Not THE plan.

When you're ready for a clear plan that focuses on what actually makes a difference, book an appointment.

Tranquil Minds is built around one core idea:

Your health plan should make sense for your actual life.

That means we look at the foundations, nutrition, movement, sleep, mindfulness, and connection, while also considering your goals, capacity, medical history, and the bigger picture.

It sucks to be in pain.

And when you are anxious or depressed, your brain is set up to have a worse pain experience.

Untreated anxiety or depression put folks with migraine at risk for their "sometimes" migraine to escalate into a chronic, all the time migraine.

So we don't just "treat migraine." At Tranquil Minds we look at the whole person, supporting your neurologic health and your mood together.

So you can get back to feeling like yourself.

Have you heard of the McDonald's migraine hack?

You know the one. Large Coke. Large fries. Suddenly the migraine feels a little better?

So why are people saying it works?

For some people it may be:
caffeine
fluids
salt
calories after skipping meals
changes in blood sugar

When something consistently helps your symptoms, it's often a clue.

Migraine treatment isn't usually about finding one magic fix. It's about understanding the patterns that are contributing to the problem in the first place.

That's the work we do together at Tranquil Minds.

Have you ever tried the McDonald's migraine hack?

If your migraine feels random, threshold theory can help make sense of it.

For many people, it is not one single thing that causes an attack.

It is the combination.

A bit less sleep .A stressful week. Skipped meals. Hormone shifts. Dehydration. Too much sensory input. Maybe alcohol, weather, or just overdoing it.

Each of those factors adds load and when the total load becomes more than your system can handle, you cross the threshold and a migraine attack happens.

That is also why “just avoid your triggers” is often not enough.

We need a broader plan.

One that fits with what's going on in your life and focuses on what matters to you.

If you are dealing with migraine and want support building that kind of plan, book a strategy session and we can talk about what this approach could look like for you.

Feeling anxious AND stressed?

Ashawaghanda is an amazing herb that can be helpful in both conditions (or for a person who has both stress and anxiety) 😅

Social Media isn't medical advice - talk to your practitioner to see if this is the right choice for your health plan.

I know.

When you have migraine, “exercise more” can sound like wildly unhelpful advice. (Especially when you’re exhausted, in pain, worried movement will make things worse, or barely getting through the week as it is.)

But here me out movement can be a powerful part of migraine care.

I'm NOT saying it's a cure-all. but can support several systems that matter for migraine, including:
nervous system regulation
sleep quality
blood sugar stability
mood
pain sensitivity
stress resilience
overall brain health

And the good news is that we are not aiming for perfection here.

You do not need to become a marathon runner.

You do not need an intense fitness plan.

For a lot of people, the first step is simply finding a form of movement your body can tolerate consistently.

We aren't trying to punish your body into better health. The goal is to build capacity.

When you’re ready for a plan that fits your life and focuses on what actually matters, book an appointment.
