There’s something so rewarding about seeing someone’s face light up when they look in the mirror. I came into the clinic on a Sunday for this lovely patient, and seeing how happy she was with her results made it completely worthwhile.

Today’s treatment was all about subtle refinement. A little symmetry can go a long way. We also softened the lines around the mouth and gently treated the corners of the mouth to create a more rested, refreshed appearance.

The goal is never to change someone’s face—it’s to help them feel their best.

The best part of this before & after isn’t just the lips… it’s her smile in the after photo. 💛 It wasn’t posed. She was genuinely so happy with her results, and moments like these are why I love what I do.

For this treatment, we focused primarily on enhancing the top lip to create better balance while maintaining a soft, natural look. The upper lip is still a little swollen (which is completely normal), so the final result will continue to soften and settle over the next couple of weeks. I think it’s going to be absolute perfection.

For most younger patients, RHA 3 is my preferred filler for the lips because it integrates beautifully into the lips while preserving softness and natural movement. In terms of technique, my goal is to always respect my patients’ natural anatomy, enhance what is already there, and create balanced results that don’t look overdone.

It’s been a little over two years since opening Luxe!

In the beginning of my injecting career before Luxe, I spent a lot of time driving to Vancouver for training and travelling to nearby communities to see patients. Rather than waiting for patients to find me and to build my client base slowly, I travelled to them in order to get as much experience as quickly as I could. Many of these patients are regular clients today 💗

My favourite part of this profession is the ability to keep constantly learning while using both the logical and creative part of my brain. Aesthetic medicine is always evolving, and I love working in a field where science and artistry come together.

Looking back, I’m proud of how far Luxe has come and incredibly grateful to everyone who has trusted me with their care. Being recognized as one of Kamloops’ top aesthetic providers is something I don’t take for granted.

Not all lips are the same, and neither should every lip filler treatment.

M-shaped lips are one of the more technically challenging lip anatomies to treat. The natural central peaks and lateral drop-off of the upper lip require a personalized approach to create balance.

For this patient, the goal wasn’t simply just to add volume. It was to strategically support the lateral upper lip, soften the appearance of the M-shape, and create a more balanced lip while maintaining a natural look.

This result will age well over the next 6–12 months. As the filler gradually metabolizes, future maintenance treatments can continue to refine the balance of the M-shape over time rather than trying to achieve everything in a single session.

These photos were taken immediately after treatment, so some swelling and mild bruising are already present, which is completely normal following lip filler. As the lips heal over the next couple of weeks, the final result will become softer and more settled.

Beautiful results come from respecting anatomy, thoughtful technique, and having a personalized plan. 🤍
