Good news of the day: Darling 5-year-old girl with a penchant of eating paint off the woodwork (pica) has stopped doing this by about 85% after only two weeks on Calcarea carbonica 6X daily, much to everyone's relief! This is not necessarily a fix-all for pica although I have seen Calcarea in various potencies work quite often. What have you found to be helpful with pica?

I see a lot of kids with tics, eating disorders or challenges, OCD and anxiety. Some time ago I found this research study showing a correlation between va$$*ines and these conditions. Good news of the day: Lovely 4-year-old boy on the spectrum suddenly developed a spitting habit - not uncommon in the autism population. He had previously responded well to Hyoscyamus 30C and 200C and 1M, which helped with licking of tables and doorknobs and drunken sounding laughter at night, resolving these. When the spitting came up Hyos was first on my mind again but 1M did nothing, so we tried Hyos 10M and the spitting stopped the next day!
Moral of the story: Sometimes a new symptom may still respond to a previous remedy, but a higher potency may be needed. Have you seen this yourself?

Want bigger beans? Try homeopathy in the garden!

The common bean (Phaseolus vulgaris) is an essential part of people’s staple diet in Brazil and other Latin American countries. The excessive use of agrochemicals for pest and disease control negatively impacts human health, contaminates soil and water, harms biodiversity, and contributes to pest resistance.

Given these facts, Brazilian researchers conducted a study to see whether homeopathic preparations could positively impact crop yields while reducing the chemical load on the planet.

Two experiments were carried out in a greenhouse and one in the field, in a randomized block design. In the greenhouse, the preparations were used in dynamizations 7, 12, 24, 36, 48 and 60CH (CH= Hahnemannian centesimal dilution order) and distilled water was used as control. In the field, the treatments were Phosphorus 48 and 60CH, Silicea terra 36 and 60CH, and distilled water as a control. In the greenhouse, application of Silicea terra 36CH increased (p< 0.05) shoot dry biomass weight (9.78 g) and leaf dry biomass weight (5.36 g), compared to control. In the field, Silicea terra 36CH and Phosphorus 60CH increased bean productivity in relation to the control. The results indicate that homeopathic preparations had a high potential for improving development and consequently increasing yield when applied to common bean plants.

Good news of the day: Mom of one of my kiddos was accidentally exposed to mold about a year ago, inhaling some deep into her lungs. She became very sick immediately with swollen tonsils, super sore throat, headache body ache and chills. It went away after about 6 weeks and two rounds of antibiotics. Then she saw another practitioner recently who uses muscle testing, usually very effectively so, and she tested for taking mixed molds 10M daily for a week.
An hour after taking the first dose of mixed molds 10M her tonsils started swelling, she got a horrible sore throat and swollen left lymph node, headache body aches, fever fatigue, just as with the original symptoms. This was the situation.
What to do? It may have been a recurrence because the original symptoms may have been suppressed or maybe it would have been better had she not taken it every day for a week after already getting a response after the first dose - this was my thought anyway.
We decided to try antidoting with camphor and using Lachesis as an acute. Everything got better very quickly and she is okay now. Any thought on what might have happened here?
