I took a bit of a social media break. Really wanted to spend time focused on who I am, what matters most to me, how my faith and all of my experiences and education have worked together bringing me to this place I am at in life, in this current and present moment! I can attest that this social media detox was life giving to me. I enter back into this space with a joyful renewal of my spirit, of my own authentic truth and alignment with my gifts and callings.

For much of my life, I was the woman holding everything together for everyone else while quietly carrying grief, heartbreak, burnout, overwhelm, and emotional pain within my own body. From the outside, I continued showing up and caring for others, working hard, supporting family, building community, and doing my best to keep moving forward. But internally, I was exhausted. The heaviness I carried was not only emotional; it lived in my nervous system, my breath, my body, and my spirit.

There were seasons in my life where I felt deeply disconnected from myself, from rest, and at times even from the Divine/God. I kept pushing through, believing strength meant enduring more, giving more, and carrying more. Yet eventually my body began asking for something different. The tension, fatigue, and emotional weight I carried could no longer be ignored.

My turning point came when I stopped trying to simply “manage” my stress and began learning how to listen to my body, my spirit, and my inner life with compassion. Through somatic yoga therapy, breathwork, meditation, stillness, prayer, reflection, and faith, I began to understand that healing is deeply connected and the body, mind, heart, and spirit are not separate from one another. I discovered that the Divine/God meets us not only in our thoughts and beliefs, but also in our humanity, our breath, our grief, our tenderness, and our healing.

What I once saw as two separate parts of myself, spirituality and somatic healing, slowly became integrated into one authentic path. I no longer see my work as divided between faith and body-based healing. For me, caring for the body is sacred work. Creating spaces for women to soften, breathe, rest, reconnect, and heal is an extension of compassion, presence, and ministry.

This deeper integration has also led me further into vocational discernment and spiritual formation, and I am currently embarking on a path toward becoming a commissioned Diaconal Minister; a calling that continues to shape both my personal healing journey and the way I hold space for others.

The transformation was not that life suddenly became perfect, or pain disappeared. The transformation was that I no longer felt trapped inside survival mode. I began to feel lighter, calmer, more grounded, more connected to myself, my faith, and my purpose. I learned that our bodies carry our stories, but they also hold wisdom, resilience, and the capacity to heal.

That became my aha moment: women are carrying so much silently in their bodies and spirits, and they deserve spaces where they do not have to hold everything alone. They deserve gentleness, compassion, rest, and support that honours the whole person.

I am sharing this with you because I know what it feels like to carry invisible heaviness while trying to keep going. And I want women to know there is another way.

Healing is possible. You are allowed to give yourself permission to soften. You are allowed to give yourself permission to rest. You are allowed to give yourself permission to feel lighter, freer, and whole again.

I gave myself permission! Now is your time to give yourself permission.
