Carmen Shawn Midlife Wellness & Lifestyle Coach

Carmen Shawn Midlife Wellness & Lifestyle Coach Helping women in midlife rebuild their health with clarity, confidence, consistency and realistic support. No quick fixes. No shame.

I’m a WELLNESS & LIFESTYLE COACH that specializes in helping women through Perimenopause and Menopause, after advising your doctor or Holistic Practitioner. I’ve always been a body-positive advocate and self-love junkie! Attempting to prove to women that when you feel better you do better! I really want women to be proactive and support their bodies in a way that helps them get through “the chang

e” in life. Allowing them to avoid or lessen the symptoms that come along with Perimenopause and Menopause. I figure out what your personal health and wellness issues are, how they intersect and how that may be diminishing your personal power & HORMONAL HEALTH. I have very unique credentials, such as being a NLP Practitioner, Transformation Specialist and Hormone Health Specialist, giving me the ability to help get clients through the changes we experience as women as well as help ditch limiting beliefs and create healthy habits that stick. I'm not void of body issues; physically, mentally and emotionally. After 31 years in the Health & Fitness industry, that’s what helped me and encouraged me to evolve to health coaching.

This doesn't just apply to young girls.👇🏻

Starting a sport in midlife can be just as powerful. ❤️

For me, starting sprinting has been a game changer. Not because of the times on the clock, but because of what it's taught me about myself, what I'm capable of, and how much more there is to discover when you stop worrying about being perfect and start showing up. 💪🏻

Do women ever fully talk about the emotional side of aging? 🤔

Not the “age gracefully” quotes. Not the anti-aging marketing. Not the filtered version.

The real version.✨

Because if I’m honest, aging can feel hard sometimes.

I think women experience it differently in a lot of ways because so much of our value in society has been tied to youth, beauty, fertility, desirability, sexuality… all of it. 💯

And whether people want to admit it or not, you feel those shifts as you age.

I can’t have babies anymore. I weigh more than I used to. I have wrinkles I never had before. And sometimes it feels like we live in a world obsessed with staying young forever. 😵‍💫

Meanwhile women are quietly trying to figure out who they are now.

What’s strange is that at the exact same time, I’m actually happier with myself than I’ve ever been. 💃🏻

I like who I am now. I value depth more. Connection more. Real relationships more.

Intimacy to me now feels less about performance and more about feeling emotionally safe, understood, connected, and truly known by the people around me. ❤️

I think that’s one of the biggest shifts aging has brought me.

And maybe that’s the part we don’t talk about enough: Aging can feel painful and beautiful at the same time.🎯

What’s one positive thing aging has taught you? Comment below! 👇🏻

Somewhere along the way, we were taught to fear aging. 🫣

But honestly?

Midlife has been the first time I’ve actually started becoming more myself. 🎯

Less performing. Less proving. More clarity. More honesty. More power.
We really can become the stars of our own lives. ✨

My biggest menopause mistake I made? 🤔

Thinking my body had failed me.

And honestly, I understand why I felt that way.

There wasn’t enough information.
Now there’s almost too much.😵‍💫

Women are overwhelmed with advice, fear, conflicting opinions, quick fixes, hormones, supplements, “expert” opinions, and endless rabbit holes that often lead nowhere except more confusion and frustration.

But at the end of the day, this is a transition. A major one.
Not a personal failure.💯

And yes, sometimes it’s messy. Rocky. Emotional. Exhausting.
It definitely was for me.

But things started to shift when I stopped treating my body like the enemy.

The moment I stopped feeling sorry for myself and started getting curious about what my body needed now… everything changed.💓

My body recalibrated.
Not overnight. Not perfectly. But it did.

And a big part of that came from redefining what health meant for this stage of my life.

I stopped chasing who I used to be.
I stopped basing my goals on an old version of myself.

Instead, I started building habits, goals, and routines around the woman I am now and the future I want for myself moving forward.

That changed everything.💪

Life is lifing.
I wake up every day grateful. 🙏🏻

I’m not going to stress over things I can’t control. My health, my peace, and my happiness matter more than wrinkles under my eyes.

This is me. No makeup. Real life. Still showing up. Still moving forward. 💛

The first thing you need to do to feel better in midlife, is stop trying to fix everything at once! 🎯

Most women are jumping straight into diets, workouts, supplements, or “starting over” without understanding what’s actually happening in their body and life first.

That’s why nothing feels sustainable.💡

Think of it like rebuilding from the ground up:

𝗦𝘁𝗲𝗽 𝟭 𝗔𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀
Understand what’s actually changing.
Your energy, recovery, sleep, stress tolerance, cravings, body composition, motivation, emotions.
Start connecting the dots instead of blaming yourself.

𝗦𝘁𝗲𝗽 𝟮 𝗖𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗿 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗰𝗹𝘂𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗿
Stop chasing extremes and conflicting advice.
You do not need to earn your health through punishment.

𝗦𝘁𝗲𝗽 𝟯 𝗦𝘂𝗽𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗳𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀
Focus on the things that create stability first:
🔸sleep
🔸recovery
🔸nourishment
🔸movement
🔸nervous system support
🔸realistic habits
𝑵𝒐𝒕 𝒑𝒆𝒓𝒇𝒆𝒄𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏. 𝑺𝒕𝒂𝒃𝒊𝒍𝒊𝒕𝒚.

𝗦𝘁𝗲𝗽 𝟰 𝗕𝘂𝗶𝗹𝗱 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗻𝗰𝘆 𝗮𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱 𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗹 𝗹𝗶𝗳𝗲
The best plan is not the hardest one.
It’s the one you can continue when life is busy, stressful, emotional, hormonal, and imperfect.

That’s where confidence actually starts to return. 💪😁

Midlife is not about becoming less.

I think we don't talk about this enough. 💯

Outgrowing things can feel uncomfortable, even when it's right.

But it's also a sign that something in you is shifting. 🌱

I’m curious… what’s something you’ve let go of as you’ve moved into midlife?

Share below, and take a look at what I’ve outgrown too. 👇
