These are the TCM foundations that actually work — and yes, they’re simple… but they’re also what people skip:

1. Eat warm, cooked foods (especially in the morning)
Cold smoothies + iced coffee = weak digestion = low energy.
Your Spleen wants warmth. Give it that.
2. Protect your energy early in the day
Slow mornings > chaotic scrolling.
Your nervous system sets the tone for your Qi.
3. Walk daily (even 10–15 min)
This alone moves Qi + Blood better than most people realize.
Stagnation is the root of so many symptoms.
4. Go to bed before 11pm
This is when your body actually restores Yin + Blood.
You can’t “catch up” on this later.
5. Keep your neck + low back warm
Wind and Cold enter here first.
Tension, headaches, fatigue… this is basic prevention.
6. Breathe deeper than your chest
Shallow breathing = shallow energy.
Your Lungs control Qi — use them.
7. Stop ignoring subtle symptoms
Bloating. Poor sleep. Irritability. Low energy.
This is your body whispering before it has to scream.

This is the work I’m building my practice on.
Not trends. Not extremes.
Real, foundational medicine that your body responds to.

Winter walking is one of the best forms of movement this season.

In TCM, winter supports the Kidneys and nervous system. Walking helps move energy without depleting energy, supports circulation, digestion, and mood, and is easier to stay consistent with than intense workouts.

Plus, my dog loves it 🐾❄️
