5 things I DON’T let my kids do as a nurse mom 👩‍⚕️😂

And yes… you all probably think I’m dramatic. But since I'm the one who's gonna have to cure things when the "ouchys" happen, let's talk prevention!

1️⃣ Walk barefoot around public pools
Because warts + fungal infections are not the souvenirs we’re bringing home. 🦶 I've seen enough at my clinic to know they're super contagious!

2️⃣ Leave the house without sunscreen
Cloudy or sunny, they are wearing the SPF. ☀️ Because sunburn skin is no fun! They have sunscreen in their school bags... Not just the beach bag!

3️⃣ Skip flossing
Brushing is great, but those toothbrush bristles aren’t getting everywhere. 🦷 I pack their dental floss in their lunch boxes!

4️⃣ Ignore cuts & scrapes
Clean it, check it, protect it. Even the “tiny” ones deserve TLC!

5️⃣ Stay in sweaty clothes after sports
Warm + damp + sweaty skin = a perfect environment for irritation and certain skin infections, especially back acne! Change and shower! 🦠

Some call it overprotective.
I call it operation Nurse MOM 💪😂
