🎨 BREAKING NEWS: Art for a Cause! 🎨

We are incredibly excited to share a beautiful community event happening today and Saturday! Join us in celebrating Three Generations of the Evans Family Art Show, a special 3-generational art event showcasing the immense creative talents of Sally Franks, Linda Payne, Leslie Potter, Teresa Sommerville, and Judy Harpur.

The Evans family has been a vital part of the Oliver community since 1926, and they are continuing their wonderful legacy of giving back. All monies from art sales will go directly to the South Okanagan Hospital Fund! ❤️

The show is also proudly sponsored by the amazing WOW - Women of Oliver for Women!

❤️ WE DID IT! The Echocardiogram Campaign is officially complete! ❤️

We are absolutely thrilled to announce that the South Okanagan Similkameen Medical Foundation has reached its fundraising goal! Soon, two brand-new, state-of-art echocardiogram machines and a second technician will be at work at Penticton Regional Hospital (PRH).

This means faster cardiac diagnostics, reduced wait times, and better care close to home for patients across our entire region.

❤️A Heartfelt Thank You to Jim & Marcia Cavin
This major milestone was brought across the finish line thanks to a deeply personal and incredibly generous $35,000 donation from long-time community supporters, Jim and Marcia Cavin.

After losing his sister Maureen to a heart condition at just seven years old, Jim knows firsthand how vital the latest medical technology is for local families. The Cavins have been championing healthcare in Penticton since 2010, and their latest gift ensures our community has the best possible cardiac care when it matters most.

As Marcia beautifully put it: "When you have access to quality care close to home, it makes an enormous difference for patients and families."

A heartfelt thank you to Inderjeet and Preet Mann, their amazing team, and all the volunteers from Penticton to Osoyoos who brought the energy and helped make the day such a massive success.

💙Where is the money going?
These funds are staying right here in our community, designated for the Women and Children’s Centre at Penticton Regional Hospital (PRH). This incredible donation will go directly toward purchasing much-needed, specialized equipment.

A little extra care is blooming at Penticton Regional Hospital 🌿💚

The SOS Medical Foundation team rolled up their sleeves to refresh the planters outside the front entrance at PRH, helping create a more welcoming and uplifting space for patients, families, staff, and visitors.

It’s amazing how something as simple as greenery and flowers can brighten a day, spark a smile, and make a hospital feel a little warmer and more comforting.

What an unforgettable afternoon. 💛

Last weeks Golden Chari-Tea, presented by Ferebee Wealth Management of RBC Dominion Securities Inc., brought together an incredible community of women, supporters, sponsors, donors, and volunteers at Poplar Grover Winery ... all united by a shared commitment to local healthcare.

Together, we raised an amazing $68,000 in support of the Women and Children’s Centre at Penticton Regional Hospital with $38,000 going towards the purchase of a new, state-of-the-art Birthing Bed.

A very special thank you to East Meets West Children’s Foundation for their extraordinary $30,000 contribution and ongoing commitment to helping improve care for children and families in our community. Thanks to their donation we are able to purchase an Advanced Fetal Health Monitor for our tiniest patients.

We are also deeply grateful to every sponsor, guest, donor, silent auction contributor, volunteer, and supporter who helped make this event such a success. From the beautiful atmosphere at Poplar Grove Winery to the generosity shown throughout the afternoon, this event was a true reflection of the heart of our community.
