Thanks to Mully Children’s Family’s successful 2026 Medical Mission Trip, 2,007 financially vulnerable people living in rural Kenya received the essential medical treatment they needed.

HPIC-donated medicines and medical supplies enabled the mission team to treat conditions including hypertension, type 2 diabetes, gastritis, musculoskeletal pain, arthritis, upper respiratory infections, and dermatological conditions. These donations were especially valuable for patients requiring ongoing care to manage chronic conditions, as well as those seeking treatment for acute illnesses during the five-day medical camp.

On August 26, 2026, a sudden glacial collapse triggered catastrophic flash floods in northern Nepal. Current reports indicate nearly 1,000 confirmed deaths with over 4,700 missing. Entire villages, roads, and power infrastructure have been destroyed across the Nepal–Tibet border region.

The situation remains dangerous and volatile. Nepal’s National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Authority estimates that 10,000 households urgently need humanitarian assistance. People affected by the disaster need medicines for chronic conditions, as well as first aid and wound-care supplies.

HPIC is working now with on-the-ground partners to assess essential medicine and medical supply needs and ensure they reach those who need them most.

In Ein El Hilweh refugee camp in southern Lebanon, too many families are being forced to make heartbreaking choices just to survive. For people living with chronic illness, something as basic as medicine can feel out of reach.

Through HPIC’s partnership with United Palestinian Appeal - UPA, hope is reaching displaced people in the form of essential medicines and health-restoring products.

For patients in need, this support means more than treatment - it means relief, dignity, and hope for the future.

𝐈𝐧 𝐔𝐤𝐫𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐞, persistent shortages of medicines and medical supplies, limited public funding, growing pressure on the healthcare system, and the increasing needs of patients have made it difficult for many families to access the medicine and medical care they need.

HPIC and ICMDA / Християнська медична асоціація/Christian Medical Association of Ukraine are partnering to deliver donated medicines and medical supplies to help address critical shortages and support continuity of care for patients.

One such family supported through this ongoing humanitarian initiative lives in the Kharkiv region, an area that has remained heavily affected by the war and regularly exposed to security threats. Due to the difficult security situation, displacement, and financial hardship, the parents are often unable to afford essential medicines and vitamins for their children. Even common seasonal illnesses or fever can create a significant financial burden for the household.

Through our partnership, the family received children’s ibuprofen for the symptomatic relief of fever and pain, vitamins to support the children’s daily vitamin intake, and naproxen for adult family members needing relief from inflammatory conditions and musculoskeletal pain.

These products helped the family respond promptly to common seasonal illnesses, reduced financial pressure on the household, and ensured that the children had access to essential health-supporting products. For this family, the assistance represented more than the medicines themselves - it also brought reassurance that, despite the hardships of war, the international community continues to stand alongside Ukrainian families in need.

Across 130+ countries, our approach to supporting breastfeeding combines education, community-based health promotion, and strengthened healthcare systems - ensuring mothers have the support and resources they need to successfully breastfeed their infants.

Here is how we are making an impact:

✅Educating mothers on exclusive breastfeeding:
Through community health projects, HPIC and local partners provide counselling on the importance of exclusive breastfeeding, helping mothers understand proper feeding practices and infant nutrition.

✅Training frontline health workers:
We strengthen the capacity of nurses, midwives, community health workers, and volunteers so they can better support mothers with breastfeeding and other maternal and newborn health services.

✅Supporting maternal and newborn health programs:
HPIC's 𝐖𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐧'𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐂𝐡𝐢𝐥𝐝𝐫𝐞𝐧'𝐬 𝐇𝐞𝐚𝐥𝐭𝐡 initiatives reduce maternal and child mortality by improving access to healthcare, increasing awareness of healthy practices, strengthening referral systems, and providing essential medicines and supplies. Breastfeeding support is woven into these broader efforts.

✅Providing direct support to new mothers:
For example In Kenya, HPIC's S.M.I.L.E.S. project supports mothers of underweight newborns through regular home visits and counselling—bringing care directly to families who need it most.
