Congratulations to Fafa Basheer, this month’s Everyone Matters Core Values Award recipient! 🩵

Some people have a way of making others feel comfortable, welcomed, and valued, and Fafa is one of those people.

His nomination highlighted the kindness and respect he brings to the people around him. Whether he’s supporting the children in our care, connecting with coworkers, or stepping in when another team needs a hand, Fafa shows up with warmth, curiosity, and a genuine interest in others.

It’s the kind of care that can feel small in the moment, but makes a real difference in how people feel around you.

As part of his award, Fafa chose to make his donation to Relay For Life through the Canadian Cancer Society, a cause that became meaningful to him after taking part in one of their events.

Congratulations, Fafa. We’re so glad to celebrate you and the way you bring Everyone Matters to life. 🩵

Our Corner Brook summer BBQ brought together employees from across our programs, community partners, and families for a fun afternoon at Majestic Lawn.

There was plenty of food, games for the kids, and lots of time to catch up and enjoy being together outside of the usual workday.

A great turnout, a beautiful afternoon, and a nice chance to connect with familiar faces and meet a few new ones too. ☀️
