Since the beginning of their practice, Deborah Hart MN NP and her team have been interested in preventative medicine with the belief that an essential foundation for maintaining vitality as we age includes healthy food choices, physical activity, a balanced lifestyle and a good skin care routine. Having been approached multiple times in her Primary Health Care, Family Practice clinics with concerns of aging, excess fat, acne/acne scarring and other medical aesthetic concerns such as wrinkles, skin volume loss & sagging, blemishes etc, by patients who wanted both options for treatment and options other then extended travel and wait times for these treatments, Deborah realized these options were limited. As a healthcare professional whose goals were to increase access to care and enhance each individuals optimal level of well-being, a need was recognized and the practice of Medical Aesthetics & Rejuvenation Medicine was a natural evolution of her background in Emergency & Trauma Practice and her Primary Heath Care, Family Practice Clinics. These advanced Medical Aesthetic & Rejuvenation Medicine services are now available, enhanced and offered in the Cape Breton Regional Municipality, in Sydney and the Halifax Regional Municipality, in Bedford. We are pleased to be able to offer our Nova Scotia community advanced, safe treatments with natural outcomes while giving our patients a safe environment to enhance and restore their self confidence and vitality under the care of respectful, benevolent, providers specifically licensed in Medical Aesthetics & Rejuvenation Medicine

Rough or uneven texture is not always the same problem. It can come from barrier dehydration, sun thickening, or early collagen changes, and each needs a different fix. If a texture treatment has not worked for you before, this might be why. Link in bio for an assessment.

We will say no to a specific request, even one asked by name. Here is why that protects you. We only use reversible HA fillers, so if your needs ever change, treatment can be dissolved. Saying no to the wrong thing is sometimes the most protective thing we can do. Link in bio.

If someone promises to fix your pigmentation in one visit, that is worth questioning. Real restoration is a gradual process built on consistency and daily sun protection. It will not make a dramatic before and after, but it will hold. Link in bio for an assessment.

If your skin barrier is compromised, we will not start with the treatment you actually came in for. It sounds backwards, but barrier repair makes every treatment after it work better. It will not be the exciting part of your plan, but it matters most. Link in bio for an assessment.

The biggest mistake I see every September: patients trying to treat everything at once. Three tips instead: get assessed first, ask what is actually causing what you see, and let the sequence be repair, restore, rebuild. Link in bio to book.

You should always know exactly who is treating you, and why. Every treatment at First Impressions happens under NP-led supervision.

Crystal and Jessica are our Certified Nurse Injectors, and Katherine leads Patient Care Coordination. On a day like today, it felt right to introduce the team behind your care. Link in bio to book.

Aging is inevitable. How we age? That's a choice.

Some women embrace every line. Others choose a little help along the way. There's no right or wrong, just options.

This is what years of sun, stress, expression, and yes, sometimes Botox, can look like. Knowledge is power, and your face, your rules.

Curious what's possible for you? We're here when you're ready.

If you swam a lot this summer, your skin is probably still dealing with it.

Chlorine strips natural oils, salt water can dehydrate skin if not rinsed and moisturized after. This is why barrier repair is always our first step in September. Want to know where your skin stands? Link in bio.

Those dark spots are not aging, here is what they actually are.

Pigmentation and structural skin aging are two different processes with two different causes, and treating them the same way often does not work. Not sure which one you are dealing with? That is exactly what an assessment is for. Link in bio.

Your skin did not age this summer, here is what actually happened. UV exposure breaks down existing collagen while also blocking new collagen production, and the effects show up weeks later, not right away. Understanding this changes how you approach fixing it. Book an assessment, link in bio.
