🇨🇦 Maple Glow Ginger Ale Mocktail 🍹⚽

🍹This nourishing mocktail is designed to support digestion while you enjoy every bite of your game day spread.

🍁 Commercial ginger ales are loaded with refined sugars. Using natural sweeteners like pure maple syrup is rich in electrolytes, antioxidants, and minerals like zinc and manganese.

🫚 Homemade ginger ale uses fresh ginger root, maximizing the health benefits: it’s anti-inflammatory, improves digestion, reduces nausea and boosts the immune system.

Ginger contains powerful bioactive compounds like gingerol, which has been shown to naturally inhibit the COX-2 enzyme—a key driver in pain and inflammation.

Ingredients (for about 1 litre bottle):

1/4 cup fresh ginger root, chopped, peeled
1 - 2 tbsp pure maple syrup Dutchman's Gold
5 cups filtered water
Sparkling water to taste

Method:

Chop fresh ginger root, add to a pot with filtered and bring to a boil. Reduce to simmer for 20 minutes. Strain and let it cool.
Add pure maple syrup to the ginger water. Pour into glasses filling 3/4 way and add 1/2 cup sparkling water. Pour over ice and enjoy!

Today I’m celebrating another year around the sun!💫☀️🎉💛 Feeling so immensely grateful for this special day. It is truly a gift.

I’m thankful for all the simple things from sunshine, nature, living in a beautiful place, being surrounded by so much love, my wonderful parents, my amazing husband, my lovely friends, my sweet little fur baby, my amazing clients, my work family, community, neighbours, nature, healing foods, you all and the beauty all around that nurture my soul every day.

🎉 I try to live each day to the fullest and celebrate ALL things, because they are worth celebrating. We only have this one life physically on earth, and spiritually in many. Let’s celebrate always.✨

Happy Sunday!☀️ 🐾 Today we went on an extra special walk — the Happy Trails 5km Walk-a-Thon in support of the Guelph Humane Society 🐶

Good friends, meaningful movement, and so many adorable furry faces made this the perfect blend of connection, community, and wellness.

🐕 And of course, our little Oscar had the best time with his bestie Max — tail wags, happy energy, and pure dog joy all around.
