A Day in Simaril: Meet Sukhman
What does a day in the life of a Case Worker really look like?
For Sukhman, every day is a little different. Some of it happens behind a desk, answering priority emails and messages. Much of it happens out in the community, helping people find resources, work toward their goals, and get the supports they need.
But when we asked Sukhman what she enjoys most, her answer wasn’t about the tasks.
“Getting to know the people I support and building genuine relationships with them.”
She also shared something people might not realize about her role:
“A big part of the role is supporting and encouraging individuals to build the skills and confidence to do things independently rather than doing it for them.”
And that really gets to the heart of why this work matters to her.
“I believe everyone deserves the opportunity to live as independently and confidently as possible, and I'm grateful to be part of that journey.”
