It was founded in 2013 and has as its objective the promotion of a healthy lifestyle, the closest to nature possible. If you are interested in our project, you may stay with us some additional days to experience outdoor living, connect with the earth, give us a hand in the garden, hike in the mountains, go horse-riding or relax in the nature. s and stargaze. Being close to nature is helpful with the integration of the medicine work. Expect basic comfort, not luxury. There are compost toilets and outdoor hot showers and no Wi-Fi connection. Amoraleza is between the Sierra Nevada and the Tropical Coast, 45 minutes away from both the beach and Granada. More specifically, it is in the Alpujarras Mountains, between Orgiva and Lanjarón, close to other alternative communities such as Beneficio, where about 200 people live in tipis and other low-impact structures. On Thursday mornings, there is the Orgiva Market, a good opportunity to relax on a terrasse and enjoy the cultural diversity and richness of the more than 60 different nationalities registered in the town. The area is also well-known for its hiking paths and traditional villages. It is possible to go horseback riding, visit the Tibetan meditation centre or organise a trip to Granada, to walk through the Albacin (old moorish quarter), the Sacromonte caves, or the Alhambra, one of the Seven Wonders of the World.

The first dome retreat of the season has come to a close.

Several days together.
Two nights of ceremony.
A day with Huachuma.
Music.
Silence.
Time on the land.

After the quieter beginning of the season in the temple, we now move into the larger retreats in the dome.

The dome is coming alive again.

Piece by piece, the space begins to take shape.

The canvas rises.
The floor clears.
The light changes.

And suddenly it’s no longer just a structure, it starts to feel like a place that is waiting to hold something.

Next weekend we begin our first dome retreat of the season.

There’s always this moment before people arrive, before the music, before the ceremonies, when the land starts to shift.

Huachuma moves differently than Ayahuasca.

It opens things outward.

Into the body, into the landscape, into what’s already here.

There’s often less intensity, less confrontation.
But that doesn’t mean less depth.

With Huachuma, things become clear through relationship

through walking, through sitting, through noticing what’s actually happening without needing to push it anywhere.

It has a way of organizing things quietly.

Of bringing a sense of alignment that isn’t forced.

You don’t have to try to “go somewhere” with it.

Most of the time, it meets you exactly where you are and starts working from there.

And sometimes that’s what’s needed.

A different pace. A different way in.

We will be sitting with Huachuma as part of the upcoming retreat cycle.

We still have a few spaces open on June 1st for those who would like to join just for the one-day Huachuma ceremony.

The land changes quickly at this time of year.
Everything becomes greener, fuller, more alive.
Before the intensity of summer arrives, there’s a short window where the whole place feels softer, open, almost overflowing.
This is the season we’re moving into now.

The 5-day retreats move through a different rhythm than the shorter weekends.

Two night ceremonies with Ayahuasca.
One full day working with Huachuma, connecting to silence and nature.

And in between:
time to rest,
integrate,
walk,
talk,
be in nature,
and settle into the process more gradually.

The larger retreats will now be held in the dome as we move into the main season.
