This is the type of food we have been serving all summer at Venachar Lochside 🤩

Now that we are saying hello to Autumn, if you visited us these past few months and tried the food, please please leave a wee comment on what your favourite dish was ☺️

Here in these pics, we have the:

- Heritage Tomato Bruschetta with tomato chutney, tomato concasse, capers, candied olives (it is £9) 🤤
- Mackerel Fillet with fennel salad, lemon dressing, pea puree (its £14) 😋
- Perthshire Pork Belly with orkney scallop, celeriac puree, pickled apple (its £18) 😍

Loch Venachar is so much more than its stunning surroundings, relaxing sauna, and delicious restaurant. It has really cool and interesting history!

For example (much like the Loch Ness Monster), the Kelpie!

Kelpies are mythical Scottish water spirits, usually depicted as dangerous horses that lure people into lochs.

Loch Venachar has a local kelpie legend dating back centuries, with stories of a kelpie bringing people into the loch to never be seen again.

What do you think? Is there any truth to the legend, or was it just the traditional Scottish way of keeping kids safe and away from the water?

Meet the Paddle and Plunge Sisters 👯‍♀️

They are a group of Scottish women who have made it their mission to meet up as much as they can and take on challenging cold-water therapy experiences across the country.

It’s exciting for all of us on the team when they visit because they are such great fun 😊

Here they are in the loch, making a circle to chat and motivate each other to go for it and take the plunge!
