Things I’ve learned teaching Zumba in a heatwave:

☀️ Put your leggings & towel in the freezer 🩲
☀️ Accept that removing a sweaty sports bra is now a full-contact sport
☀️ A fan is no longer an appliance - it’s a relationship

Embrace your shine (ok sweat 🤪) but make sure you:

💧 Hydrate before, during and after exercise
🧊 Take extra breaks
🌡️ Lower the intensity if needed
👀 Watch for signs of overheating

Stay safe, stay cool, and if you need me, I’ll be over here having an MJ (or Beyoncé) moment in front of the nearest fan.

☕️Fill your own cup☕️

It's hard to remember sometimes, but I have been reminding myself that slowing down isn't a selfish thing to do, it's necessary. Taking time to step away from the noise, to breathe deeply, to sit under open skies and feel the earth beneath my feet. It's not some sort of indulgence, it's maintenance and it's allowed. 🍃

Nature has its own way of gently refilling what life drains. The silence while walking in the woods, the rhythm of the waves, the warmth of the sun, they help clear the mental clutter and soften the weight we carry. When I give myself permission to rest and reset, I show up more present, more patient, and more whole.

You can't pour from an empty vessel. Protect your peace and allow yourself to take the walk, make time to sit and watch the sunset. Turn your phone off and let yourself be still long enough to remember who you are beneath the busyness of life.
