All the marketing gurus say I should post everyday, giving you tiny snippets of my life so you can 'get to know me'.

So here are my minor obsessions.

But if you really want to get to know me, come and meet me. Face to face does it for me every time. I'm teaching the usual yoga classes in the usual places every week across Borrowash, Spondon and Chester Green.

April is bowel cancer awareness month.

Like many of us, I've had family and friends suffer with this horrible disease. It's best avoided or spotted early.

TAKE THE TEST.
The NHS offers FREE bowel screening every two years to all adults between the ages of 50 and 74. People aged 75 plus can request a screen through their GP. Do it! It saved my partner's life.

Go to your GP if you notice any of the following:

- bleeding from your bottom
- blood in your poo
- a change in your pooing habits.
- losing weight but you’re not sure why
- feeling very tired all the time but you’re not sure why
- a pain or lump in your tummy

Having these symptoms doesn’t always mean you have bowel cancer, but it’s still important to find out what’s causing them.

This Friday, 20th March is the Spring Equinox, midway between the winter and summer solstices. Day and night hang in perfect balance and then, hurrah! We can really start to notice the days lengthening and the season turning as we officially enter astrological Spring.

So expect a little Spring focused activity in class this week. Perhaps a gentle growth and the odd challenge or two, as the energies of Spring really start to take hold.
