we are really excited to be bringing a blend of fun, health & relaxation through the magic of sauna culture for the first time to Belper Goes Green 2026.

Hot on the heels of our Women’s Wellness Weekend at Belper Community Hall, in just 9 days’ time we will be offering sauna (& cold plunge) sessions in our mobile, wood-fired sauna located at the cricket pavilion on Belper Meadows.

A chance to experience a blend of two sweat-bathing traditions from the Baltics; Lithuanian Pirtis & Finnish Saunotus techniques.
Saunamaster Kate will introduce you to the plants of sauna through herbal- infused steam & gentle leaf whisking using locally foraged, seasonal plants which gently improve circulation & skin tone whilst subtley cleansing the skin & stimulating lymph flow – Err, did we mention the beautiful aromas ?

This lovely couple walked THE HERITAGE WAY and took a SaunaPause at the end of their day.

The perfect reset before an Asian fusion dinner and bed and breakfast at The Elephant & Peacock in Milford.

They said they paid £80 for their stay!

Anyway ..
Walking or not we have sessions Friday, Saturday , Sunday & Tuesday evenings.

We are delighted to introduce our new session

HOT CHAPTERS - The Sauna Book Club.

Inspired by-

* piles of beautiful, but currently unread books around the house.
* An awareness of a slow erosion of my ability to pay attention.
* Attempting to read but never getting past chapter 2 without falling asleep.
* Reading the eye opening book by Johann Hari - "Stolen Focus".

Reading is the ANTIDOTE to not reading !!

Hoo noo??

So...

The idea:-

We choose a book.
We read a few chapters slowly over 2 weeks.
We meet in the heat.
We talk about what moved , tickled, enlightened or enraged us.
We drink tea & eat buns until it's home time.
We repeat .
& Most importantly ..

We try very hard NOT to make a WhatsApp group.

AND WE WONDER ...

If rituals transform
Let's try to make reading a ritual.

It's a week packed with some new, some older, but all interesting sessions at SaunaPause.

We have our regular Saturday & Sunday - 11.15am & 6.15 pm sessions running but also....

So looking forward to welcoming Emma Mardava and her beautiful sound journeys session to finish the week on Sunday and put it to bed with blissful slumber-inducing sounds.i'll be blending in the spirit of Pirtis ritual to add to Emma's already deeply calming experience.

Storytelling is back Friday night with Once Upon a Sauna ✨🔥✨

But not before we spend a day at a very special Garden Party in Hazelwood, Duffield.- Chloe10for10 .We'll be helping raise money for the charity BLISS Who support premature babies and their famiiles.
Lorna and John are pulling of ten epic events but this is one of the more mellow ones. There'll be teas , cake & good company in their ever evolving , gorgeous green oasis & we'll bring the heat with the sauna & dip for extra feel good vibes .

And of course ...PAUSE SISTERS welcomes back the women folk for some bench time- offering rest and connection for those navigating or curious about ways to manage menopause with thermal bathing.
