I recently completed a space clearing at an adult education centre. A historical site rooted in 800 years of Scottish history and stories to tell.

I worked gently with the energy that was stuck here, and afterwards it was calmer, more settled and welcoming.

Places heal too; sometimes all they need is someone to witness what’s been held there and help them release.

I'm excited to announce that Musings of a Scottish Bard has evolved.

If you've followed my journey, you will know I completed my Shamanic Practitioner training in December.

I am launching my practice today! My new name will be Stagfire Healing!

I offer shamanic healing, land and house clearance, particularly around autistic shutdowns, workplace stress, spiritual reconnection and ancestral and generational weight

I returned to the woods today
I walked the Auld deer track
And met the murder of crows
Who joined my walk

I returned to the woods today
I thought about the journey ahead
And realised it's easy to get caught up in tasks
Without enjoying the journey

I returned to the woods today
I saw most delicate fushia bush
Growing in the most unlikely place
And I screamed just for the feeling it gave

I returned to the woods today
I laughed for no reason
And I went on a shamanic journey
And released

I returned to the woods today
I returned whole
And I returned free!

On 25th August, one of my poems was published in the first edition of the marvellous

What is the Web?

Deep within the forest, the young bard sits
Protected by glade and grove

The wind blows, whispering quietly through the trees
What a web we weave, they say
But do you know what it is to be the web?

A temporary structure, which can be in an instant gone
And yet, you catch the morning dew

A murmur from the beech tree, look at my roots
But do you know what it is to be a tree?

Be silent, still and not be able to move
One element in a network of a greater forest
And yet able to watch everything and nothing

The wind blows again and the spell is gone
A fleeting moment within the quiet to understand

Blessings for Alban Elfed or Autumn Equinox. At this festival, we celebrated the delicate balance between light and dark by walking this Labyrinth. We had a light bearer and shadow holder and the gate keeper.

It was a beautiful process to create and participate in this. I was the anchor in the creation process. Well done to all involved!

It's been 3 short weeks since I went to the first Druid Camp Alba!

I cohosted my first workshop with my dear friend Scott, enjoyed the camp fire, went on a journey through the foothills of the Borders.

This was really the start of something!
