Did you know it’s much cooler in the forest?
It’s one of many reasons it feels really special to be up there are this time of year.

If you'd like to experience the special beauty of the woods in summer, our next session is on 30 August - and its likely the last one of the season. Corstorphine Hill is very special, and it’s a beautiful place to spend a slow hour or two under the trees.

Sunday morning’s forest bathing session was a really beautiful, calm and bright start to the day, with plenty of things dropping on our heads! Dew fell from the leaves after Saturday’s haar, spent Linden flowers drifted down like summer snow, and we even had the odd beech nut.

Corstorphine Hill is very special.

Our next session is on 30 August, likely the last one of the summer.
If you’d like a gentle reset in nature, I’d love to have you there.

If you feel tired, tense, or overwhelmed you're definitely not alone. It feels like burn-out is getting closer to a lot of us.

Forest bathing is simply slowing down, noticing the wildlife, and letting nature hold you for a while. It's quiet and it's healing.

And if you’re unsure or nervous about what it involves, please reach out. I’m always happy to talk about what is involved.

✨5 and 12 July✨ Your body knows how to relax in nature. It just needs reminding. Join me and other like-minded nature-seekers on Corstorphine Hill for almost two hours of connecting with nature.

When we walk outdoors the brain shifts into a naturally restorative state, soothed by the steady left‑right rhythm of our steps. Stress hormones ease and emotional processing are supported.

Walking also returns us to a natural pace our nervous system instinctively understands - neither rushed nor still. As we notice birdsong, fragmented sunlight, and the feel of the ground beneath us, the body receives a message of safety, and from there we can establish a sense of perspective and mental relief.

If you'd like to join a guided forest bathing walk, grounded in mindfulness techniques and taking in the benefits of walking and being amongst the trees, the booking links are in the first comment.

I look forward to meeting you.

Experience: I sat under an oak tree every day for a year…After a period of burnout, I realised that nature knows what you need, and is always ready to offer it – you just have to be quiet enough to receive it
