âSlimming World is just a fad.â - Honestly, people say this a lot especially fitness professionalâ usually without understanding what we actually teach!
Core principles I teach my members:
(as a Slimming World Consultant AND a Personal Trainer - I am both!)
â Prioritising protein because it helps keep us fuller for longer and supports lean muscle while losing weight.
â Encouraging plenty of vegetables and fruit, especially those rich in vitamins, minerals and gut-healthy fibre - naturally creating a calorie deficit without tiny portions or constant hunger.
â Including satisfying carbohydrates like potatoes, rice, pasta and grains (especially whole grains) because people need food that is realistic, filling and sustainable long term.
â Encouraging healthy fats, fibre and calcium-rich foods for overall health, not just weight loss.
â Allowing flexibility, treats and indulgences WITHOUT GUILT because real life includes birthdays, meals out, BBQs, holidays and chocolate sometimes.
â Building an active lifestyle so you can not only lose weight, but increase your overall fitness as well.
That isnât a fad!
Thatâs teaching people how to build balance, consistency and a healthier relationship with food from someone who has both lived experience and who is also trained in the psychology behind weight loss and behaviour change.
No extremes
No cutting out entire food groups
No punishment
No âgoodâ or âbadâ foods
Just learning how to eat in a way that supports both health AND real life.
