"What if I've gained?" 😟

You know that feeling as you walk towards group after a week hasn't gone to plan?
Y
ou might be thinking...
❌ "Everyone will judge me."
❌ “Susan or Donna will be disappointed."
❌ "I've failed."
❌ "I shouldn't even bother going."

But here's what actually happens...
❤️ You'll be welcomed with a smile.
❤️ Nobody is there to judge you - we've all had weeks that haven't gone to plan.
❤️ We'll talk about what happened (if you want to), without blame or guilt.
❤️ We'll help you make a plan for the week ahead.
❤️ You'll leave feeling lighter... even if the scales didn't say what you hoped.

A gain isn't the end of your journey. It's just one weigh-in.
The people who reach their target aren't the ones who never gain...
They're the ones who keep walking through the door.

Have you ever dreaded coming to group after a gain, only to leave feeling so much better? ❤️

✨ The biggest weight I've lost wasn't on the scales... it was the weight of old thinking. ✨

When people join my Slimming World group, they often expect to change what they eat.
What they don't expect is how much they change the way they think.

💬 "I stopped trying to be perfect and started trying to be consistent."
💬 "I used to think one bad meal ruined everything. Now I know the next meal is a fresh start."
💬 "I stopped waiting for motivation and started building habits."
💬 "I stopped focusing on what I couldn't have and started focusing on everything I could."

Because lasting weight loss isn't about having more willpower than everyone else.
It's about changing the story you tell yourself.

Small mindset shifts.
Small daily choices.
Big long-term results.

❤️ Which mindset shift has helped you most on your journey?

🌸Menopause and Weight Loss: You're Not Imagining It 🌸

If you've found that the weight seems harder to lose than it used to be, you're not lacking willpower. Menopause can bring changes to hormones, sleep, energy levels, hunger, stress, and where our bodies choose to store fat. It can feel frustrating when the things that worked before don't seem to work anymore.

That's why support matters most!
At my group, we understand that weight loss isn't just about food. Whether you're peri-menopausal, menopausal, or post-menopausal, you don't have to navigate it alone. In group, you'll find:

Support without judgement
Practical strategies that work in everyday life
A support booklet available in group specifically on this
Online features, such as eating well through menopause
Online / on demand exercise classes to help you move more during menopause
Accountability and support when you need it
A community of women facing similar challenges
Celebrations for every success, big or small

Menopause may change the journey, but it doesn't stop you reaching your goals.

If you're ready to feel more in control of your weight, your health, and your confidence, we'd love to welcome you. 🌟

"Weight loss is a bit like a spin class."

When you walk into a spin class, you already know it's probably going to make you feel better. Do you actually want to do it?
Absolutely not. 😂

You sit on the bike wondering why you thought this was a good idea. Then you start pedalling.

At first, you're just trying to keep up. You're concentrating on what everyone else is doing and wondering if you're doing it right.

Sound familiar?... Then comes the resistance.
You know you need to turn that dial, but your legs are already working hard and your brain is saying, *“Absolutely not. We could just go home.”*

Weight loss has those moments too.
The weekend you didn't plan for. The meal out. The holiday.
The week when the scales don't do what you expected.
The day when motivation has completely left the building.

And sometimes you ease off the resistance a bit.
That's okay.
Because easing off doesn't mean you've failed. It means you're adjusting what you need to keep going.

Then, somewhere along the way, something changes.
You realise you're not thinking about every single pedal stroke anymore.
You've found your rhythm. You're stronger. You're fitter.
You're doing things that felt bloody hard a few weeks ago.

And then the instructor tells you there's only one track left.
You think, “I can't possibly do another song.” But you do.

And that's probably my favourite bit of any weight-loss journey.
Not the number on the scales.

It's realising that the person who started the journey isn't the same person sitting on that bike anymore.

You don't need to love every minute.
You don't need perfect motivation.
You don't need to smash it every single day.
You just need to keep turning up and find a pace you can actually sustain.
And eventually, you'll look back and realise...
"you've come a bloody long way."

Now excuse me while I go and question every life choice that brought me onto this bike. 😂

❤️ Have you ever wondered... "Why can't I just do this?"Maybe you've blamed yourself.Maybe you've thought you just don't...

❤️ Have you ever wondered... "Why can't I just do this?"

Maybe you've blamed yourself.
Maybe you've thought you just don't have enough willpower.
Maybe you've wondered why losing weight seems so much easier for everyone else.

Then you walk into a Slimming World group.....and someone tells a story that could have been yours.

They understand the secret eating.
The all-or-nothing thinking.
The guilt.
The fresh starts every Monday.
Not because they've read about it.
Because they've lived it.

And in that moment, you realise something really important...
You were never the problem. You just needed people who understood your journey.
That's the magic of group. ❤️

If you've ever felt like no one understands what you're going through, come and see what it's like to be in a room full of people who do - it's magic!

Stop waiting!

For Monday.
For next month.
For after the holiday.
For when life calms down.

The perfect time doesn't exist.

Start where you are.
Use what you've got.
Take one small step today.
❤️ That's enough.

Sunday Rundown #3

🥗 Food OptimisingAnother really great week food optimising, I managed to eat out at the garden centre (jacket, cheese and beans) and fit in a cheeky Nando’s and still finish within my swips each day. Honestly I am a bit surprised as normally something has crept in by now, but I feel really really focussed. Totally obsessed with the KitKat Mocha bars as my daily little treat (5 swips). I keep forgetting to take food photos, but kept a paper diary this week.

I am also down 1lb this week - and I think I can see a little change in the photo as well! Exciting. Waist I forgot to measure this morning and I’m not measuring it right now after roast chicken lol 😂

🏋🏻‍♀️ GymI got in all 5 weight training sessions, and I got in another Spin class on Tuesday, I also got in a fair amount of cardio, some days I was really pushed for time, Thursday I had to skip all cardio as literally no time for it between clients, Sw work and taking my mum out for her bday lunch.

👣 MovementSteps have improved, mostly aided by the fact that today (Sunday) I did a solid 2 hours delivering leaflets, so that’s over 12k today and so my weekly average increased this week.

🧠 MoodI think the best way to describe my mood is determined and focussed. I am feeing stronger and fitter, and pretty happy in general - life is pretty really.

🌿 LifeWe have had a pretty busy week, and I didn’t really get a full day off this week between jobs, but we went out for lunch at the garden centre Thursday and then Saturday after a client and the gym we had a cheeky Nando’s so I always find if there is about fun to balance the work that makes for a pretty balanced life, even if it’s a bit busy!

🐾 PoppyPoppy has been much happier that she can now go out for more walks, and apparently our roast chicken today is just what she needed.

🎯 Next week✅ Easier week ahead, no eating out challenges either.
✅ Gym 5x weight, 4 x cardio + Spin (if the instructor is in, think she might be on holiday).
✅ We have some new recipes to try this week - which is exciting!
✅ I am focussing on the changes I am feeling in my mood, energy and strength.

That's my week — the wins, the things I need to work on, and what I'm changing for the week ahead.

Now it’s your turn…

What’s one win from your week, one thing that challenged you, and one thing you want to focus on next week? 👇

Nando’s for lunch today — because eating out absolutely can be part of a Food Optimising lifestyle. 🙌

Good food, good company and no need for the “I’ll start again Monday” mentality.

Just making choices that work for me. 💪

"The most important weigh-in isn't after a perfect week. It's after the week when everything went wrong and you show up anyway."

One of the biggest misconceptions about Slimming World is that you should only come when you've had a good week.

Actually, the opposite is often true.

✔️The week you've been stressed.
✔️The week you've comfort eaten.
✔️The week you've gone off track.
✔️The week you're tempted to give up.

Those are often the weeks when group matters most.

Because this isn't about being perfect. It's about belonging, being supported, and knowing that whatever your week has looked like, there's still a seat waiting for you.

❤️ You belong here.

Morning coffee thought 7

Sometimes the goal isn’t to find more time.

It’s to find a way of making things work with the time, energy and life you’ve actually got.

Because real life is messy — and your plan needs to be able to live in it. ☕️
