Ever thought about trying a cold plunge?

Cold water therapy can be a great way to reset the body and mind. Many people use it to support recovery, reduce muscle soreness, improve circulation, and feel more alert and refreshed.

That said, how and when you use cold therapy can make a difference. A morning plunge may leave you feeling energised and focused, while an evening plunge can feel calming for some but stimulating for others. Using cold water straight after heavy strength training may also have a different effect compared with waiting a few hours, especially if your goal is muscle growth, recovery, or general wellbeing.

At Revitalise Urban Spa in Hackney, you can ease into cold plunging at your own pace. Whether you’re brand new to it or already enjoy contrast therapy, our sauna and copper ice bath routine gives you a simple way to experience the hot-and-cold reset.

Sauna Maintenance

To preserve and keep the sauna looking fresh whilst also protecting it's longevity.

Steps:
1. Sand with fine grit sandpaper in direction of the wood grain - to remove any light surface stains and rough patches
2. Clean surface with hoover then wipe down
3. Treat with the right preservative using a lint free cloth or a washing sponge
4. Let it dry for 1-2 hours
5. Repeat once a year depending on usage
