Join us and NBC Green Team as we give the community garden at the bottom of the High Street (by the subway to the sunken roundabout) a seasonal refresh.

No tools needed! We'll provide the plants, tools and gloves. Just bring yourself and a willingness to get stuck in!

This July and August, we're bringing you TWO FREE workshops every week to keep ya little creatives busy all summer long🙌

We'll be teaming up with some amazing local artists and creatives from our pop-up Creative Hub inside the Lancaster Building.

From painting skills and self-love portraits 🎭 to circus skills 🎪 and comic book creation 📚, there'll be something for all ages and abilities to enjoy!

VAT's The Problem 🍻🍽️

We're supporting the ‘VAT’s The Problem’ campaign on behalf of our town centre hospitality businesses.

On 1st July, hospitality businesses from across the UK are coming together to call for a reduction in VAT from 20% to 10%, helping businesses facing rising costs and ongoing economic pressures.

A 10% VAT rate would:

✅ Support pubs, restaurants, cafés, hotels and other hospitality businesses
✅ Encourage investment in jobs, staff and customer experience
✅ Help protect and strengthen our high streets and local economies
✅ Support the long-term sustainability of the hospitality sector

Hospitality plays a vital role in Newcastle-under-Lyme's economy, creating jobs, attracting visitors and contributing to a vibrant town centre.

An update re: the Midway development from Newcastle-under-Lyme Borough Council 👇

Work is set to restart at the Midway development as soon as possible 🚧

We’re working closely with Capital & Centric and partners to get construction moving again, after a temporary pause last week when remains were found during excavation work.

The Staffordshire and Stoke-on-Trent Coroner’s Service has confirmed there are no suspicious circumstances, and police have now handed the site back.

Our priority throughout has been to make sure the remains were treated with dignity and respect. Behind the scenes, planning has continued so work can safely move forward.

This is a landmark project that will transform the former car park into 110 new homes, playing a big part in the future of our town centre.
