How my client Tim went from being overtrained and thinking about stopping training altogether to being energized, best shape in years, and quitting thyroid medication altogether.
Tim is a hardworking man who owns his own IT company. He likes to pursue his hobby in his free time - training in the gym and improving his body shape and health.
Since he was a kid, he has been doing different sports. So working hard and consistently was never an issue for him.
For the last 5 years, Tim has seen a decline in his physique, which he tried to compensate for by training even more.
Excess training affected his joints and tendons.
Besides that, he always felt a constant need to have a nap.
Tim thought he knew his body best, and that's why no one could help to progress. And he thought it was his genetics and age that held him back from progressing.
Eventually, he got to the point he was exhausted mentally and physically, thinking - either he seeks help or quit it altogether.
The first thing we did with Tim was a holistic assessment of his current situation and lifestyle, including a blood test for more granular insights.
Imidedially I detected where Tim was going wrong and why he didn't see the results he wants to see.
We built a training plan that helped him improve his energy levels, health and finally change his physique.
And it all was done by him exercising less and having a more intelligent, more time-efficient plan.
Through the years, absorbing misinformation, Tim got to the point where he was demonizing things like carbohydrates.
This led to living a restrictive diet life and depleting his body from macro nutrition he needed to start to progress with his physique and restore energy levels.
Now Tim has more variety in his diet, and he is no more intimidated or avoids carbohydrates.
The most significant achievement through the coaching process was getting Tim of from thyroid medication. Through training, diet, and supplement change, we were able to get thyroid function better than it was on medication.
Now Tim has a better body shape, more energy, and time to spend on other areas of his life, like his family and traveling.
