💙 Carers Week 2026 💙

This Carers Week, we want to take a moment to celebrate and thank our wonderful care assistants at Willow Brook Care Home.

Being a care assistant is so much more than a job. It's about providing comfort, companionship, dignity, and support every single day. From sharing a smile and listening to stories, to helping residents maintain their independence and wellbeing, our carers make a real difference to the lives of those they care for.

We are incredibly grateful for their kindness, dedication, patience, and compassion.

💪 Exercise Session with Arthur 💪

Last week, our residents enjoyed a fantastic exercise session with Arthur. Everyone took part in a range of gentle movements and activities designed to promote mobility, strength, and wellbeing.

There were plenty of smiles, laughter, and great effort from everyone involved. Thank you, Arthur, for this enjoyable and energising session!

🍪 National Cookie Day at Willow Brook Care Home 🍪

On Friday we celebrated National Cookie Day with some delicious homemade treats!

A big thank you to our lovely residents, Mary and June, who spent time baking a wonderful batch of biscuits for everyone to enjoy. The smell of freshly baked biscuits filled the home, and they were enjoyed by residents and staff alike.

It was a lovely afternoon filled with baking, laughter, and plenty of tasty treats. Well done Ladies for your hard work and for making our day extra special! ❤️

Our residents had a wonderful time at our creative arts and crafts session with Creative Paths 🎨🖌️✨

Everyone enjoyed learning how to blend colours and explore different painting techniques, creating some beautiful artwork along the way 🌈🖼️ It was a lovely afternoon full of creativity, fun, and confidence building 💛

We’re excited for our next session on Tuesday 02/06 at 2pm, and everyone is welcome to join us! 😊🎨

We had a lovely time at our fortnightly children’s playgroup last week 💛👶👵

It was wonderful to see the children and residents spending time together, sharing smiles, laughter, and lots of fun activities 🎨🧸😊 These special visits always bring so much joy to everyone involved, and we’re already looking forward to the next one! 💕✨

We’ve been keeping cool and staying safe during the warm weather here at Willow Brook Care Home☀️😎

Our residents and staff have been enjoying plenty of cold drinks and tasty ice creams 🍦🥤 We’ve also been spending time outdoors in the fresh air while avoiding the hottest parts of the day 🌳🌤️

With sun hats, sunscreen, and lots of care, everyone has been making the most of the sunshine safely 👒🧴💛
