As one retreat comes to an end and before the next begins, I’m taking a moment to pause and feel grateful.

A week of yoga, movement, laughter, connection, sunshine, delicious food and some much-needed time to slow down.

Watching students arrive carrying the weight of everyday life and then seeing them leave a little lighter and more connected to themselves is something I never take for granted.

One of the greatest joys for me is witnessing students come together, and leave with genuine friendships and a sense of community. Sharing stories, supporting one another, listening without judgement, laughing together, and creating a space where everyone feels seen, heard and nurtured.

Thank you to this wonderful group for trusting me to be part of your journey. šŸ’›

Now for a little rest, a deep breath, and preparation for retreat number two.

IM INVESTING IN MYSELF —not to fix anything, but to nurture my health, protect my future, and feel as strong as I can in the years ahead

As a yoga teacher, flexibility has never really been a problem 😊

But recently I decided I wanted something more for my health. I wanted to be stronger.

After having surgery for skin cancer last year and recently being diagnosed with Eagle Syndrome, I’ve been reminded how precious our health is. It has made me realise even more how important it is to listen to our bodies, take care of ourselves, and not take our health for granted.

So, 4 weeks ago, I started strength training with twice a week… and guess what?

I absolutely love it! šŸ’ŖāœØ

I’m not doing this to change how I look. I’m doing it because I want to feel strong, capable, healthy and confident in my body for many years to come.

Yoga will always be my first love, but I’m discovering that strength training and yoga make a pretty great team.

I’m lifting weights, celebrating small wins, embracing sore muscles, and proving to myself that it’s never too late to start something new.

Here’s to being strong.
Capable, not perfect.
And doing things for ourselves because we’re worth it ā¤ļø

Thank you Rachael for making me feel welcome, supported and stronger every week.

Mental Health Awareness Week šŸ¤

To honour this week, I’m offering 10 free places for my upcoming workshop.

Supporting mental wellbeing through body-based healing.

Due to time away on retreat (31st May – 15th June) and a few other commitments, the workshop will take place on 12th July,
10am – 2pm šŸ¤

Our bodies often hold the stories, stress and emotions that words can’t always explain.

As a yoga teacher and somatic therapist, I see every day how stress, anxiety, overwhelm and emotional experiences can live within the nervous system and shape how we move through life. Creating spaces where people can reconnect to themselves gently, safely and without judgement feels more important than ever.

To honour this week, I’ll be gifting 10 free places on an upcoming workshop focused on nervous system regulation, embodiment, rest and emotional wellbeing.

This will be a space to slow down, breathe, move gently and explore simple somatic and yoga-based practices to support mental and emotional health.

If this feels supportive for you, or for someone you know, please feel free to share šŸ¤

Bookings are now live on the system.

I was talking to a friend last night over a meal we had planned a few weeks ago.

Somewhere between talking about work, family, responsibilities, and how quickly the weeks disappear, we realised how easy it is for life to become nothing but obligations.

And I said something that’s become really true for me lately:
if I don’t put time for myself in my diary, it doesn’t exist.

Not the holiday.
Not the occasional day off.
Not dinner with friends.
Not even a simple walk to clear my head.

So I’ve started scheduling joy first.

The concert.
The weekend trip.
The coffee date.
The walk.
The movie night.
The things that make me feel like a person outside of work and responsibility.

Because work will always keep growing.
There will always be emails, errands, deadlines, and things demanding our attention.

But happiness needs protecting too.
And sometimes the healthiest thing you can do is put your joy on the calendar before life fills every empty space.

✨ Online Session ✨

ā€œWhy online Louise?

Because sometimes…
after holding everything together all week,
all you really want is to come home, switch off, and just be.

No travel.
No rushing.
No pressure.

Just a gentle space to land.

For many, it feels easier to soften…
to open…
to unravel what’s been building —
when you’re in your own environment.

And the most important part?

You’re already home.

In a space that feels familiar.
Comforting.
Safe.

Wrapped in your own energy,
your body can begin to unwind naturally.

This is where real shifts happen —
when the nervous system feels:

✨ Safe
✨ Held
✨ At ease

Let this be your exhale at the end of the week 🩶

THE PAUSE

(I know I’m banging on about this a lot at the moment… but bear with me šŸ¤)

One thing has become really clear in my teaching: the pause is where the magic happens. 🤩

The pause before we even begin—when you arrive on your mat and check in with yourself.
The pauses in between shapes—where your breath steadies and your body starts to speak.
And the pause after savasana—before stepping back into life, when you notice what’s shifted.

That quiet space between breaths.
The stillness after effort.
The moment where nothing is happening… yet everything is changing.

In our yoga practice, the pause isn’t empty—it’s where awareness deepens, where the body integrates, where the mind softens. It’s where you feel what’s unfolding.

And it’s not just for yoga.

A gentle invitation to pause throughout your day…
Where do I feel my breath in my body?
Where are my shoulders—am I holding, gripping?

So today, take a pause.
Don’t rush past it.

Linger there.
Breathe there.
Listen there. ✨

Today marked the first Sunday Clinic (Arnold), and I’m taking a moment to reflect with genuine gratitude.

I had the opportunity to work with 4 women and 2 men, each bringing their own openness and commitment to the process. It’s a privilege to hold that space, and I deeply respect the trust placed in both the work and in themselves.

May and June Sunday Clinics are now fully booked.

Dates for July, August and September will be released shortly. If you’d like to be added to the waitlist, please feel free to send me a direct message.

Here we go as promised part 2

If you’re feeling a little crunchy—low energy, no motivation, googling the newest ā€œhealth hacksā€ā€¦

ask yourself this:

Are you skipping the basics and hoping for a shortcut?

Before you spiral, before you overanalyse, before you assume something is wrong — come back to the basics 🌿

FOUNDATIONS FIRST

Am I actually fuelling my body with wholesome, nourishing food? šŸ„—
Do I need to shake up my routine so I can think more clearly, feel more connected, and move with more energy? ⚔

Am I drinking enough water? šŸ’§
Because without proper hydration, your system can’t function — even your body’s natural detox processes slow down.

Am I sleeping enough? 😓
Am I getting sunlight when I wake up? šŸŒž
Am I giving myself space to decompress and down-regulate before bed? šŸŒ™

And if sleep isn’t coming easily… what’s taking up space in my mind during the day that follows me into the night?

Movement šŸƒā€ā™€ļø

Am I moving enough? Or am I stuck in the same patterns — physically and mentally?

Maybe it’s time to explore new ways of moving.
Exercise that challenges your heart and lungs doesn’t just build fitness — it creates freedom, energy, and release throughout your entire system.

None of this is about dismissing how you feel.
It’s about supporting yourself properly šŸ¤

Your foundation shapes everything. What you do every day matters more than what you do occasionally..

If this feels like something you need support with, you’re always welcome to send me a DM.

Big love
Louise 🩶
