When I crossed the line my only thought was ‘thank goodness that was just a half’! 😂

HR had increased much earlier due to the ☀️ so high threshold changed the game to just see it through…

But a massive respect to all the runners and to those taking on the full marathon 😮 🙌🏻

Max smashed his half marathon and Roxanne and Ross completed the full marathon … I feel for you guys! 😀💪🏻

Was also great to see some familiar faces and seeing Lynne looking so well after all she’s been through 🙌🏻

I put 3-4lbs on over the weekend and that was after running 19km in the morning…

So here is a true story about weight gain / weight loss and I hope it can help you stay consistent with your training.

It’s a fairly raw video, but just my thoughts and experience on why you need to know this information to see long term progress…

The gym is for gaining strength, improving your fitness and even supporting your mental health…

Fat loss or muscle building is more so about nutrition and recovery ❤️‍🩹

Of course they are intertwined in many ways but 2-4lbs in fluctuations can be normal and often show inconsistency in your diet or of course days out…

It’s mostly likely in this case mostly water retention 💦 … you won’t gain 4lbs of fat or muscle in essentially 24 hours…

So don’t panic when you have the odd night away. Just get back to the habits and behaviours you know improve your overall health 🙌🏻

If you know someone who struggles with this, pass it on!

It can honestly be so tiring for so many clients worrying about weight all the time, when it truly isn’t about that… it’s about the steps, training, total calorie intake , mental state and understanding of what balance truly looks like…

You have to do the work, but the science is pretty straight forward. And that’s what we do … support you implementing the changes that are needed and keep you right with data when your ‘mind’ starts to doubt!

Superteams 2026 👇🏻

Get your pairs together (or let us get you a partner) and let’s raise some money for a great cause 🙌🏻

Every year our community comes together, works hard and raises some much needed funds at Superteams…

This years strength section is:

3RM Trapbar Deadlift
3RM STOH

15 minutes for you and your bestie to set your 3 rep max across both lifts… this should be roughly 4-5 sets 💪🏻

You will then head to the recovery zone for 15 minutes before taking on section 2 (more to follow)

Lets get signed up and prepared for another massive fitness event at 300 🔥
